Christ, you really are quite the numpty.
Use Google to search for the percentage of first year drivers that crash or are crashed into. Might make you wake up about the point I am trying to make.
You are still learning in your first car. You will make a mistake, regardless of how you drive, as...
I was crashed into twice by those you've aptly described as "mongs". Had I had a very expensive car, I would not be able to afford the car I have now as the insurance would have raped me.
I must have missed where you've provided advice?
If he insures this car for 4k and bumps it, repairs it, tries to reinsure it next year, the price will have gone up... from 4k...
An unmolested, same spec car will cost less to insure first time around, so second time, after the inevitable bump...
Just had the renewal - £40 up on last year, one year older, one more NCB. To be honest, I think that is quite good, considering the way prices have gone recently for insurance.
That's Admiral with five other cars (one of which has had a recent 5k accident).
Wow.
Save the 3k (1.2 standard car will be around 1k to insure). In one year, when your insurance has come down, spend the 3k saved on a better car. Your first car is to crash and make mistakes in. What happens when you bump that car, which is currently your pride and joy?
Polished Bliss, I4Detailing and CleanYourCar are my websites of choice. Sometimes Monza as they are on eBay and have very quick postage.
As Todd mentioned, a percentage discount is available from the latter two. However, I4D is 7.5%, CleanYourCar is less, but with a points system (points per...
The Sonus pads hold up well and last for ages. Longer than most other pads I've found. Nothing better for a starter kit IMO.
Martijn is spot on - I would advise either the 3M range or the Menzerna range of polishes, purely based on personal preference. I find they break down well and they have...
It can be an all round wax, I agree lad.
However for the price, I would go with something better looking in Summer. But hey, personal preference and experience :)
Carbon is, or was before the VAT increase, circa £45. Same as Onyx and for the price I would go with Onyx.
However, 845 and HD wax are much lower in price.
The Jeffs kits are very good, a nice Carnauba spray sealant (Jeffs/Chem Guys Blitz) would last well and give the looks to make the BG pop.

Personally neither.
HD Wax is not that good for the money.
845 is a great wax, for Winter. Granted we have another few weeks left of this weather, but it should warm up after that.
Depends on what you want from the last stage product; longevity, looks or both.
Only suggestions of "you're doing it wrong!".
Only joking - but put the EGP on first, then Wax.
If you want a little extra, I would suggest expanding the SRP stage. At the moment you are using a filler polish. It is a great all-rounder, but as the saying goes, jack of all trades - master of...
Multiple selection for uploading photos would be nice... But I guess that is software/iOS changes. Real fag to have to upload photos to facebook one at a time.
Brian,
Warm temperatures until the cold snack passes. Treat them as you would frozen milk. Take it back to room temps, quick shake and you'll be back on course. No need for new products.
You should NEVER rub a bird dropping off. Birds eat grit to help with digestion. Rubbing the affected area will basically rub grit across your paintwork. The best thing to do is get a hose to it. If that's not possible, get a glass/mug/jug of water and throw it at the area to remove as much of...
Actually not at the moment James, they are going in for a refurb soon so will be applied after that. C5 has been on the R8 for a month or two however. Awesome stuff. Truly is.
As above, if you're talking caked on dust, fallout and brake dust, Bilberry just won't cut it (excuse the punn).
Espuma Revolution is always in my supply box for any car. Most people just clean the outside of the wheel, so needless to say, the insides are properly burnt on.
It is also worth...
