I wasnt disputing the fact (if anyone took it that way) im just asking how they got it lower ? different runners ?
I do feel that it is a bit of a disadvantage with the Clios ... my old pug 205 Gti felt like sitting 2 mm off the ground. (well sorta)
Is this true.. if so how ? cause the cup seats are the same as the 172 or do you mean the Cup is lowered a few mm more therefore you sit lower to the ground ?
Hopefully you have the main line fused as close to the battery as possible, if no fuses blew then you are
A) lucky
B) dont have it fused
c) have to high a fuse in it
Either way you should be okay, a quick short circuit like that would only really affect electical circuts, and wouldnt do...
The reason I deleted most of the topics is because they had nothing to do with what the original poster was asking, it had just turned into a sl*gging match.
I didnt want to lock this thread as the original thread starter was entitled to reply and ask questions. This has nothing to do with...
Use slighty soapy water when sanding, and plenty of water to was it down. Buy some sticky cloths (forget their proper name scotch pads or something) to remove dust/debris before painting and after sanding.
Have to agree, as long as your current car isnt causing too many problems.. keep it, dont mod and save your money.. at least then if something goes wrong with you car you can get it fixed without having to worry about finding the money.
Just to add, mine also make this noise after heavy rain/long period of no driving.
Just the first and maybe 2nd time I brake then its fine, im on 20,000 miles now and my pads are fine.
Cant say ive had any problems with em, both the toyos and the rainsports resolved the heavy tramlining from the contis.. either way mate the toyos and the rainsports are better than the contis.. although I would have to say the toyos are worse than the contis in the wet.
Ye between £5-10 per corner is about right, try the uniroyal rainsports over the toyos .. the toyos wear way too fast for my liking and were crap in the wet.
Basically yes, the Cup will handle better than the 172, nothing a set of lowering springs cant fix, and the Cup will beat the 172 acceleration wise too, but not by massive amounts.
If you dont want to pay extra for toys, and want every ounce of extra acceleration you can get.. Cups for you...
it depends how it works, but I would imagine you would need to take a tap off the speed pulse output, there is a wire that goes to your HU which controls the volume dependant on speed (if you have this enabled in the HU) you could always take a tap off that.
This is the wire I used to provide...
Yes I do drive a 172, I have also drivin the Cup though, so I have the perspective of actually driving both (as have a lot of people) not just guessing.
David, its 89KGs difference. If you want to narrow the gap take out your spare wheel, that weighs 16KG, change you alloy wheels to 16" light...
