Not had any problems with marking of the seats, but then again I dont spill any food and I have never smoked in the car. But you might wanna keep em nice as I think they are £1000 + for a new set.
Thats a good point about the 6mph thing, noticed that in the snow.. the abs would kick in if you were doing about 10mph but not slower than that (hard to tell exactly cause speedo doesnt really read that low) and the wheels would lock.
Very true, got to love the 172 seats though... plus the 172 drivers seat has lumber adjustment.. nar nar..

Why not ? some people wanna give up luxuries for a few milliseconds quicker acceleration.. some people wanna give up a few ms for luxuries.. its his descision.
Not everyone likes the blue... For example all the people that bought the silver Cup.
I personally think the blue is nice, and would have had it in blue, but if you ask me today which I would prefer I would say silver, because the cup blue is more common round my area than the silver 172.
So...
Well the original thread poster prefers his silver one over a blue one... shock horror not everyone prefers the blue. And the silver cup is more rare than the blue.. shock horror again.
Sidenote: I think its quite easy to prove its a silver cup oweing to the fact it doesnt have 172...
remember not to go out racing round roundabout straight away, give the new tyres time to bed in, which will take longer than if they were on the front.
ye, its better to have the front 2 wheels sliding than the back 2... thats why I put the new rainsports on the back and the partially worn contis on the front.
Sounds like the driveshaft on my old 205 GTi, probably not but thats what happend with it, off the throttle and squeaking which eventually became grinding.
Ye most people seem to get it fixed okay now by replacing the centre section. Now if only they could expunge the gremlins with hammers from inside my exhaust.. you know the ones that go crazy when you switch the engine off after a long drive :D
Ye thats what im currently fitting onto my car, got them on the back just waiting for the contis on the front to wear out, then replacing them with rainsports... the contis dont half spin and tramline ...
Ye I saw that too, it was actually cheaper to drive to france and get it done there, than to get it done locally.. and you can take advantage of the booze :P
