Remapping, as MJ (I think) posted, for the different reason was what I was getting at, and Martin has hit it on the head. A remapped diseasel will do better MPG than one without a map. That's fine, I agree with that. Just don't understand why you buy an economical car to then remap the s**t out...

Eh? I mean if I was doing a lot of miles a week, it would be cheaper to have a diseasel, not a petrol, as the MPG is better. . .

I have buddy, that's what I'm saying. Bought the S3 for the go, not MPG. If I was doing 100s of miles I would buy a diseasel and want decent MPG, not power :) Ah well, clearly just don't get it haha. Lol, that thread amused me. Understand the position etc, but would have thought people...

I've done the maths MJ, I get worse MPG than my Clio 1.2 . . . but I bought it for power, not economy. Dad bought a diseasel for a second car to get decent MPG, not tune to the same torque as the R8 . . . :S Am I missing something?

I've always wondered why people map diseasels for more power? Sure the idea of buying a diseasel is to get decent MPG?

I used Megs No16 Last Touch on me the other day, I kid you not. Rather smell of coconut than the stench of 3 days of camping and no showers from Silverstone!!

Toby, if yours are/were sealed chap it'd make your life so much easier! Or is it just a time issue, i.e. time between washes allowing it to bake on?
