Another thing to consider is; If you usually take you car there to have bits and bobs done, then they should want to fix it to keep you happy and to keep you coming back. Don't feel guilty about it, if they have made a mistake then they should put it right with no hard feelings on either side. :D
I can understand that, but being as they are 'good' to you, then they should understand that you don't normally complain as you are normally happy with their work. It's just on this occassion (sp) they have made a slight error and you would 'kindly' like them to put it right. If they are as good...
You most definitely should complain. Go back, tell them it wasn't damaged when you took it there so you expect them to repair/replace it at their cost. Give them the 'I am a woman on a mission, don't mess with me' attitude, and if they know what is good for them, they will do as you ask. If that...
I think that may well be a very good idea Josh.
It does appear from what Brad has said that the guy isn't exactly in a rush to hit the 'insurance' side of things.
Has your car been towed away to a garage Brad or is it now sitting in your drive? If it's sitting in your drive you may well get some...
Really sorry to hear about your car. What a bummer.
If the female is willing for you to pay for the damage without going through insurance, just make sure you come to a good arrangement that suits you both. Hopfully, although your pride and joy is smashed up, the insurance won't be an issue, if...
Oh bloody hell, that's a relief. I had visions of having to take the gear lever out and all sorts. Thanks for that. The part number would be really handy if you have it please.
Thanks sooooo much! :D
^^^ Fit a new gaiter on the gear lever on a 03 Reg 1.6 Clio?
The reason I am asking is, the people who fitted my alarm, stereo/multi cd changer, have broken the rear clips on the gaiter and now it is all loose and floppy.
Any ideas? (the clips have broken off completely).
Thanks in...
That's actually a really good way of looking at it. I wish I could be that mellow. lol
Anyway, I've got her back now and I'm smiling my face off. The cd/stereo is amazing, and the multi changer is tucked neatly up inside the glove box.
The alarm is enough to scare the willies out of...
Right, got to love you and leave you all now, Dad has just arrived and that means I have some work to do.
Thanks for all your comforting comments, and funny quips. I feel loads better now. :D
Take it easy all.
Bye for now.
Debz XXXxxx
2 weeks to fix an exhaust? What the hell are they doing to it. silver plating it or something? and there was me complaining just a few mins ago that mine was going to be gone all day! I feel abit daft now. :o
Just think though, once you get her back, not only (like you said) is she going to...
Well yeah I totally agree, but lets face it, what is there to dislike about a Clio? Yes we all know they can be tempremental, and some have had more hastle than others, but at the end of the day we still love them and would rather pay out to have them fixed than get rid of them.
I know I am probably being a little over sensitive, but this is the first time my car will have been away for a whole day in the 3 years I have had her.
The garage she goes to for servicing and where she had her mot are excellent. I know them personally as well, so that helps, and if I like...
I know my Hubby is pretty attached to his Megane, he gets furious is someone puts s scratch or dent in it, and rightly so. I do think though some guys won't admit to 'loving' their cars as much as us women, as they don't exactly class it as the 'macho' thing to do. lol
I guees being a Woman makes me more emotional about it. It seems us women very much feel a part of our cars. I think most men class them as their toys and as long as they don;t get damaged can quite easily see it go away for a while.
I know it was my choice to have it done, I felt the alarm...
 'Just a car'? She's not 'just a car' to me, as without her I would be virtually grounded. I do get very attached to my cars, even more so with this one. I guess it is becuase I'm a soft hearted WOMAN! ;) lol
I have just taken my car in to have an alarm, new head unit and a 6 cd multi changer fitted. I really hated walking away from her, and the worst part was when one of the guys got in her and drove her into the workshop. Seeing someone else drive my car (even though a small distance) did not make...
We are fortunate where we live as there is an excellent bodyshop about 4 miles up the road from us. They may be a little on the expensive side but the quality of work is 2nd to none and their customer service is brilliant!
I'm so sorry to hear about the damage done to your car by an obvious bunch of arseholes!
I know it would be yet another pain in the butt to have to get yet another hire car, but I seriously would not let them get away with that! I would take it straight back, point out the damage they have...
Cliobcx I can understand you not wanting negative comments about your car, but when you start modding and straying away from 'standard' not everyone has the same tastes, it would be very boring if we did, so you are bound to get the odd 'I don't like this, I don't like that' comment.
Up until...
Hiya Penelope Pitstop .
The more I look at the interior of your car, the more I like it. It's most definitely different. I bet it's a right bugger to keep clean though. I'm not over keen on the body kit, but then again I'm not exactly a youngster, so maybe I can be forgiven for that? I do...
Hmmm. I don't do that much milage ( only on just over 14k at the moment) but I will be definitely giving it a good testing after it has been put on. ;)
I gather you mean the geometry and laser alignment? I'll probably give it a max of a week or so, then do it. ;)
As for 'splashing the cash', well, she's only just 3 years old and I consider her to be worth every penny I intend spending on her. :D
Quick update:
My car goes into the specialsts tomorrow to get a new Kenwood head unit and 6 cd multi changer fitted, plus I am having a 'Viper' alarm with anti-tilt fitted too. The whole lot will cost £998.
When I bring it home I'm going to fit the new rear lights and side repeaters.
Spoke to...
