yes this is correct.. its bass that tends to suffer the most if you have out of phase speakers. If you speakers sound a bit farty (technical term)especially at louder levels then try switching the phase.

mine fails to start every blue moon.. when it does it i can keep the key turned for as long as you like but it wont start.. as soon as i turn the key back and try again it starts first time ..really wierd but it only does it once every now and again.. and like I said it always starts perfectly...

The brakes on the 172 are awesome eh ! when I first picked up my 172 I was making everyone headbut the windscreen.. lol its just aswell too, cause the little car can get up to high speeds rather quickly. :D

Only some dealers.. It sounds like you found a guy who just doesnt give a sh*t about anything. I would have to say.. to date, Renault Edinburgh have been good to me, sorted out most of my problems and didnt even try to argue with me about the paint defect I found. Vote with your wallet...

ye me neither... it was introduced into the later mk2 172s. I think renault just put a make shift version in.. just so they could say it had ESP, same goes with the VVT

oh bolls forgot to say that I have removed the spare wheel and tools inside it.. not that it will make a huge difference. I think I am more confident about flooring it in first now. the knocking noise was terrible and I didnt like to accelerate hard in first never mind floor it.

whats the point in the higher rev limit, your power is tails off a few revs before the standard limiter.. thats why it tells you to change gear before the limiter is close, because you will get better acceleration from changing up sooner and hitting the higher torque at the lower revs (4-5krpm)

Clio mk2 172, 10,000 miles, standard, 1/2 tank of Optimax, 11 celcius 1st run 30-70 5.9 seconds 2nd run 30-70 6.0 seconds ---------------------------------- 1st run 40-100 13.2 seconds 2nd run 40-100 13.0 seconds also 0-60 with 2 people in car and 3/4 tank of Optimax in 6.7 seconds.

Well I will be "downgrading" ;) to a 1.2 dynamique for 3 days while my 172 is in for some repairs. I will give you an honest opinion then.
