yes my 172 revs up to 1500 rpm when I just start it on a cold morning, but it quickly drops back down to normal once it heats up a bit. possibly a faulty sensor ? making the ecu believe that the car is cold so its brining the revs up ?

yes i was going to say, my mk2 surround bit (that hold the leccy windows switches and leccy mirror bit) is black with glittery bits in it. Is the mk1 surround silver ? might be worth the swap cause that looks good.

stiffer suspension is good, but if your going round a corner really fast an there is a big bump in the road the back wheels will kinda skip over the road surface .. possibly causing oversteer (happend to me once in my lowered 205 GTi) Its deffinatly a plus in the looks department though...

could just be the ECU adjusting to the way your driving, and enriching the fuel mixture ? still it shouldnt affect your idle speed.
