No that is fine lad. Wash, clay, SRP, EGP, bit 'o' wax. Top up every so often. Don't need to do the full works every wash. Do the above once, top up each month, do it all again after about 6 months.

    Tescos Daisy APC (car shampoo?)

Don't use it as a shampoo. Buy some from Halfrauds for 5-15 quid Ahmed mate.

    Novice needing help!

From a skim read, yes. Polishing. You need to polish after claying. Use Auto Glym Super Resin Polish. I'll check the links when I have more time.

Do you have to remove bumper to get badge off?

Mine are three screws :S Torx ones :S

How do you dry your cars?

You can fella, as by the time you did it, you will find the aqua wax will have worn away I suspect.

    What's the right way...

Not the truth Trev, unfortunately. EGP is a sealent. UDS is an "All in one". Not something I believe in.

    Cleaning polished parts FAIL

Hard work trev, something that you just have to keep on top of, sadly! Just give it some elbow grease with some autosol on a polishing cloth/pad.

Lol, Alan's ears will be getting toasty ;) LLC pads are great, but my god they don't last half as long as SFX pads.

Do you have to remove bumper to get badge off?

It is easier to do so in all honesty. There are three torx screws that need undoing.

If there are two of you then that is a perfectly acceptable way of doing it.

    What's the right way...

Perfectly acceptable wax, if you search my threads, there was a racing blue that I detailed a while ago now. Used the DDBV on that, came up well. Not sure about it on black though, in all honesty.

Just Tried detailing a New BMW

No point going anywhere near paint like that without a Rotary fella. Only on some paints will it have any affect at all (you're talking very soft, like ford paint).

Depends on the products and machine used Ali, I know it would take that long with just a DA. Orbital is necessary on VAG and Beemer paint.

You can only buy these second hand now. FK stopped doing them for some reason.

    Tyre black

The items above are a less "sticky" and therefore may not last as long but will give a much better look. Still think that blackfire is the best of both worlds, i.e. durability and looks. With Megs Endurance being the one to go for on a budget.

    What's the right way...

Yeha the 50/50 and Pete's wax are good options as well. There are so damn many, it really is personal choice. Dodo Juice ones are meant to be OK as well (Hai Paul/Dawn x).

    The Blackberry Storm 2

I agree Tom, but only because I was one of the believers the first time around. Worst phone I have ever owned, and yet it was suppose to be the most advanced.

    Paint blemishes

That has to be fallout/sap marks then. No way would just standard hard water marks be so difficult to get rid of with SRP. Unless you have sealed and waxed over the top of them. But even then, I would be very surprised!

    What's the right way...

AG HDW is OK. Not a personal preference. I would go with either (use to be called P21s). However, it purely depends on your budget. UDS is, as Russ said, an all in one product. Not worth the plastic the label is on in all seriousness. AIO products very rarely work.

Same product as their tyre dressing, just with a different smell Ads.
