Lol, he was a little legend, but thought he was orange?

    Will any old clay do?

As Gex has said, the harsher the clay, the more marks are inflicted in the paint work. You must always polish after claying. Harsher claying will require more correction.

Blackberry browser not showing PM list?

Anyone else had this issue?? I get to the PM list, it carries on loading for about another 2-5 seconds and then the page goes blank with just the top half of the page showing, no PMs or lists or anything. I find I have to refresh the page and while it is still loading, click on the PM that...

    Alloy wheel question

As above, you need to ensure the wheels are clean, and more importantly, bone dry, before applying via Paul's suggested method above.

    Will any old clay do?

It's all very similar, except for how harsh they are. Megs Quick clay is perfectly acceptable and very easy to use. However, there are several that are better at their job than others.

Red 197 Correction Detail with Britemax

Very nice Russ, fab colour! No 50/50s?! :) Interested to know why the pro had issues, as Brun has stated, readings might be the key, but see no reason why he would just give up.

My new Car.... ready for the insults...hehe

Actually made that presumption before I saw the Renault badge!

How do you dry your cars?

Agreed Russ. The AG blades are fine . . . if you are 100% certain there is nothing on them, or on the paint work. Not worth the chance, have seen what marks they can cause.

How do you dry your cars?

Eh! Calm down calm down! Or, in other words, what's the point. . . p.s, had hour to spare on the train back from Edinburgh, written bits of the new guide, I'll pass it on tomorrow and we can go over it/post it up. x

What does your iPhone Desktop look like?

You read the iPhone questions and answers thread, but you don't talk about it on here (apparently) as it's illegal or something. . .

See if the company you bought them from will offer a refund or re-issue Jon mate. Worth the five minute call/email.

The best way to apply polish ??

Agreed, just depends on the size of your bonnet, eh Justin!

The best way to apply polish ??

Not really fella. Neither is best lol. I use a pea sized amount on an applicator for a 15x15cm area.

The best way to apply polish ??

Polish is a stage, not a coating/layering product. Applicator, not too much polish, smooth circular movements. Too much will not have the same affect, the polish needs to break down and it will make it harder to buff off at a later stage. Mer polish is h'actually worse than the 'T word'.

    iPhone/iPad accessory must haves?

Re: iPhone accessory must haves? Richard, my Blackberry is awful for that, hence I was looking for an all in one thing that had a snooze but like you. Not had a chance to have a proper look so far though.

    Factory option 182 sticker removal?

RB does look OK with them on. Leave them for a week, see what you think and how they grow on you. They only work on this colour IMO.

    photobucket.com

Yes as it is just image locations (address).

    Factory option 182 sticker removal?

Paint will have oxidised/weather more or less dependant on age and conditions. A detail will sort this out, or should.

Little help on machine polishers :)

The motor in them is not particularly powerful or torquey, so if it gets bogged down (too much pressure/friction) it will just burn out.

Nearly been a year.. Upgrade to better or stay put..

Hai to the best beer and Ho to the dances. It's off to work I go. P4ers, defo keep the 172 pal, save up, stick with it and buy the car outright or as close to it as you can. Think what will happen when you need money in the future (kids, houses etc) and you are 12k behind to start with!

    Headlight corrosion

Luke, I wish you were too x And nail head hit. me; Sorry, not as good as I wanted it :( clients; Eh??? Looks brand spanking!! What are you on?!

    Headlight corrosion

But sealing it back again as we all do will prevent future build up. Which is good.

Nearly been a year.. Upgrade to better or stay put..

Hang on. Re-read that. You have a 172 (worth tops 5-6k?). Selling that would settle debts = 5-6k debts? But then buying another car for 10-12k (why this figure?). Which would surely equal 10-12k debts? Am I missing something?
