Looks like it can be done, found pics of ash_172's car
Not 100% sure I like it on that side for some reason and don't know if he had to sort the holes first because I agree they're not small!
I'll nab my sisters hairdryer when she's not looking then and I have floss so will give it a...
Some great shots, the locations look fantastic. Not keen on the wheels and Alpine stickers, but the bird wasn't too bad though ;)
Not keen on the "bird" AndyRS posted! But that thread was hilarious!
Good to know as I was thinking of doing the same.
Is it possible to cover the Clio badge holes with the new rs badge? And will a hair dryer work instead of a heat gun?
Had a lot of problems doing my mates 3g on 3.1.2. Followed this guide with this comment quoted from page 2 of the comments. And it worked first time. We also killed any itunes/apple services running in task manager first too and think he moved the blackra1n.exe file to the C drive, ie. in no...
You star, cheers buddy! Doesn't sound too bad, I remember seeing some of the screws you've mentioned. Just hope I'll be able to put it all back together! Don't have to worry about the alarm switch as mine is aftermarket and out of the way.
Will have to give the grill spraying a go then, it...
Mine were filed down a LOT all round the backing plate edges on two of the pads, and a fair amount on the other two to fit properly and copper greased (thanks JMS :o) and they have never made any noise at all when not applied. Only a bit of squealing when cold AND applied, but that's expected of...
Lightweight do make a massive difference, and 15" tyres will save you some money!
The 1.2s in white or black would suit well IMO, not sure on the white with blue lip. Might be common, but its obviously for a reason.
What happened to your turinis? What you got on at the moment?
That's mine! Glad its liked lol
Standard 172 wheels in silver really do suit the car, probably more than any other colour clio IMO. Although hopefully next week, I'll be rolling on some new ones!
172 wheels normally go for a decent price too mate, good option IMO.
I'm loving more of this mate but really confused what bit that big one is!
So you've got a ph2 dash and the right small piece is where the hazard button is on the ph2, but as wiring is so different you're leaving the hazard and lock button near the gearstick like on the ph1?
Adrian flux didn't charge me any admin fee for declaring any mods. Just rang them up and they updated the system. I requested an email of the updated policy as my piece of mind that the changes have gone through as they don't send any update through the post.
Not sure what my part number was, but JMS had to file a lot off two of the pads (either the ones in the outer holder or inner, can't remember one was bigger than the other). A fair bit had to come off around the edges of the backing plate for them to fit, sandpaper won't cut it, using a file was...
Yup, I know someone who has had some tasty payouts this year for what I think was minimal pain. Easy way to get money now days unfortunately, not sure how you can prove against it.
I'd have thought it'd be a very rare case in which he or the company fixing it would admit to asking for more money than necessary if that is what they've done and then refunding the insurance company, so you can pay less.
I'd have thought they were happy the guy didn't claim to be sitting in...
Impressed with mine, Alpine CDE-104BTi. £190 with full iPod/iPhone control and charging. Look in discounts page for free delivery from car audio direct IIRC, worked out cheapest from them this way.
iPhone/iPod control is excellent, just like going through it on the thing itself. Hit one button...
Never modded a car before my 172 as didn't feel it was worth it. The mods to my 172 have improved it a lot over what I thought was already a good car as standard.
My current and future mods are really only to increase overall performance because I want to take it on track and potentially keep...
Yeah I know, but also because as said it near 50:50 weight distribution and set up, it'd be pretty impossible if even possible at all I'd have thought, hence something else.
