I'd have a look at all the aftermarket alarms that can use the key and then try and figure out from that list which yours is.
Do you have any button panels in the glovebox, my autowatch has one like this
Yeah, pushing it again disarms the alarm. I might look into that relay but TBH I never use it. I only found out it did it because I was waiting in my car in a dodgy looking area lol took me a little while to figure out it was my alarm going off!
Loving Tom's post! lol
Even big companies like Belkin don't even know the dimensions and features of the next iPhone or iPod Touch until it's officially released.
My mate and I fitted an alarm in my 1st car, I would never do it again. Thank god he had a bit of a clue of what we were doing. It doesn't sound hard, you need to get the cables through, attach bits to the correct wires, drill holes and secure the alarm in the engine bay. But it's a lot of work...
So for a 16GB 3GS, pay monthly is roughly £185 + £35/month. Average cost per month is a smidgen over £45.
And on simplicity it's £450 + £20/month. Average cost is £45.
Same cost but not tied down for 18 months and extra 700 minutes. Is that right? Am I missing something?
There's unlimited data and unlimited wifi.
Data is for 3g, etc, wifi is for wifi hotspots. Each is £7.50/month iirc. I just have the data on mine, far more useful than wifi.
Don't need to jack the car up, it is a little tight but it's accessible with the car on the ground.
Jack the exhaust backbox up a little bit to take the weight off the mount, then locate the 3x13mm bolts, 2 on the side between the mount and bumper, one on the other side. Then swap the mounts...
Contemplating another car Andy?
I thought about the RX8 too, but was put off by running costs. Looks good and iirc handles well, but rather stick with the 172 for now.
I'm finding my legit v1.4 crashing a lot. More than 5 times in 5 minutes earlier today. Got fed up with it in the end but will keep trying.
If I delete the icon, does it uninstall it? So could I then reinstall it?
Interesting, think they need to do it to keep up with others, especially with the added tunability, but will it be as much fun...
I love revving my 172 all the way, feels so natural and like it could keep going, will be a shame if they lose that.
If you can get the V5C reference number, then you can check its MOT history here http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/internet/jsp/ECHID-Internet-History-Request.jsp
But personally, wouldn't bother. If you've got even a little bit of doubt, walk away.
