i'd get rid - stereo stickers only draw attention to the car, why tell people what stereo you have so they can come & nick it ?? (even if you don't have an alpine stereo it won't stop an idiot bricking your window)
Those stickers are so 90's anyway.
Standard rallyes came on 14" white steelies.
- Two of my mates had them from new, one had white & the other blue. I can tell you that fitting the standard air box back on one after the induction kit is a total pain in the back side !
You could get them in Yellow (sundance yellow) abroad...
Re: Is it just me or have most valvers
Patrick - decent valvers were hard to come by four years ago, I dread to think what some of them look like now !
The thing is though, that when a minter (and I mean a minter) does turn up no one wants to pay a fair price for it, most want to pay rubbish...
RR'd @ 233 bhp:eek: I know that vee's don't make their quoted power, but 233 seems a bit down to me. The dude can't even spell clio either
I don't the steering wheel on it, the original bus one looks better.
Other than that, love it !
I think they look rubbish tbh. I was considering getting a set for show use (when I get the car) but after seeing these, I don't like them.
I like the german looking ones, they'd be ok if it was an F on the left & not the D.
They don't look overly bad in the pics, they are not past it (in my opinion, i've seen a lot worse)
I'd suggest getting some Gliptone (liquid leather) on them for a start, you can buy it from ebay, give that a try & see where you are. You have to look after leather, otherwise it just dries out...
My dad gets that all the time in his 172, he gets really annoyed. It's not just 'lesser' clio models who do it, but crappy vectras & poverty spec bm's
If the seller has proof of the actual mileage on the engine thats in there, fine, if they have bills for all work done, inc cambelt change ?? (inc fitting it of engine etc) then great. Personally there is no way i'd touch one without paperwork.
Bradharding - not every one who puts a willy...
Depends what your after really, if you want another hot hatch go for a 106gti or a paxo vts, or even a ph1 172 - although any one you find for 2.5k will probs be s**t or have a load of miles on it.
Never seen a fake v6 on the road at all, only the ones on fleabay.
I just wish I could find a decent mk1 vee for sale :dapprove: (please no one tell me about Newms's car -I know about it)
I forgot to say, most on here don't value cars that highly - if it's their mates car then they say it's worth the money. If it's not then they say it's not worth the money  even though their mates car might be a bad example.
As said before by some one - see auto trader for a guide to...
Check the service history for the engine & as said get a compression test done on it.
It's been reported that williams engines can see over 200k !!! with really minimal wear. Just make sure that's it'ss been looked after.
If they can't provide any history or bills or the conversion etc i'd...
