    Claying advice please !!!

From Halfords, Megs sponge applicator. They're not bad, I have better things but they are more expensive and ordered online. Remove with a plush MF. Make sure you use as little as poss so it barely shows. If you heap it on then it will be a bugger to take off and you are likely to put marks in...

Aye that's the stuff lad. Mate you have no idea, I assure you ;) Try doing one a week, as well as your parents. Eventually people just presume you do it full time (as happened this week). Next door neighbour popped over and asked if I would work on his Porsche while he's away . . . so sod the...

    3 beeps when setting alarm???

I do this everytime I wash the car as well btw, as mine sometimes goes off when washing it, poss due to vibrations.

    3 beeps when setting alarm???

Not quite. Stop, open door, insert key, ignition on and off twice, close door and lock with the fob as usual. This dis-arms the sensors. IIRC you can also just lock it with the key in the door and this locks the car, but won't set the alarm?

    Claying advice please !!!

Still found the stuff clings in certain areas, so usually give it a good going over, especially wheels.

Failed MOT on worn front discs

Was quoted 140 at my local, buying and fitting them yourself (or getting a kind lad called Ben off here to fit them for me ;)) is the best bet.

    Cheap but good wax/polish?

Very very good. For a week or two lol. I can now top up as have access to a decent garage. If I am going away from home for a couple of weeks I will put p21s on. P21s are on the lights and windows.

    Claying advice please !!!

Currently doing a Porsche in the garage (not a lot to do in the evenings, ya see!), ran out of no16 so used some Megs Shampoo in a spray bottle, not a fan!! Clay barely worked!

    Claying advice please !!!

Steve, just a quick one, tend to find that soapy water has too many oils in it that can make the clay bar/paint work too slippery. You need something that is slick but not to oily.

Anyone with a rotary going to WSR?

Nope not yet fella, it's coming this weekend as part of a part exchange for doing a guy's car.

Anyone with a rotary going to WSR?

I love the fact that "PC" has become the world general term for an Orbital Polisher! PC is actually a Porter Cable, a brand much like Black and Decker in the UK. So technically a PC is what I have, the Megs G220 is an Orbital . . . Jamie - coaching the Doh Doh nation since 1986 ;) x <-for...

    Claying advice please !!!

On wheels and glass maybe, never on paint work. Hence why a lot of people put dust sheets down around the car when claying.
