Any chance the ps3 was set to 1080p and the tv is only 1080i? Need to connect it by scart if you do that. That resets it to default output. Then you can select hdmi and try again.

Maybe they're switched off? Go into the set-up, something like "external inputs" and then see if any are labelled as "skip". Thats how my 40v4000 does it.

Do they?! I know some 32" TVs will accept a 1080p signal and scale it down to fit, but it shouldn't be advertised as 1080p!

26" is smallest. They do 26, 32, 37 and 40. Only the 40" is 1080p.

Great buy! They are great value too. I've got the 40" and couldn't be happier. I don't know if its worth the hassle, but you could try a component cable from the ps2 to the tv, obviously it wont be HD but it might look a little better. £7/8 from Game. I can give it a test sometime if you like...
