Keep us posted with how you get on with it. Hopefully not too much wrong with it.
I could never buy a car without looking at it, even if it was to sell on.
Either way I wont be able to buy coilies and not sure if I will want to spend that much tbh. Either looking at some springs or decent springs/damper kit which is more likely. Plus i have a lot of speed bumps in my uni and they're propper big ones so don't want too low.
100mm! Damn, I was thinking to only go 40mm.
Think I'll be looking for a similar set of wheels. Nice to see something different, no matter how awesome Turinis look. Really suit the phase 1.
One of the best looking clios imo :approve:
Just noticed, the front wheel has you're brake...
I'll be looking for my 3rd at end of this summer hopefully *fingers crossed*.
Had a mk 1 and a mk2 ph1, both 1.4 RTs. Nothing much to write home about, just decent cars for the money, insurance and service costs.

And currently this since I wasn't using it much when I was at uni in...
^^^ Dont think so. I do switch my carb between the main box and a spare box now and again and the spare box isn't connect to the telephone line either. Works fine.
I'd imagine you can if you either put the front passenger seat as horizontal as possible or as far forward as possible. Might be better taking the front wheel off. Not entirely sure how similar size they are but saw a guy fit a MTB in the back of 02 Civic Type R the other day.
You can fit a...
My mate had the biggest headache trying to cancel his contract when it was close to the end. They wouldn't listen to him and just kept offering him new deals, so I took the phone off him and started shouting at them lol
However their deals seem good which makes up for crap service but think...
If the rooms are close you could get the sky eye. Connects through thr second RF output on sky boy to your tv and has the receiver for remote attached.
Or as said above, a video sender will do the same.
We have an extra sky box set up in my room, just for some digital channels and radio...
If you have the cables then wont it work with all the latest models?
There's loads of different Sony models about, depends if you want USB, AUX, bluetooth etc.
I have the CDX-GT610, last years model but I like the way it looked I bought it before they discontinued it. Has USB and all other...
Thanks T-Bag. I am inclined towards the 172 atm. Its a bit more in insurance but a decent 172 would cost less than a decent Golf so it'd be about evens. Where I would save money is on new wheels and tyres as the total for 16s on the Clio would be a lot less than 18s on the Golf, and then a remap...
Last time I asked they said it's not pro-rata. So you won't get a proportionate amount back.
Just found this site, it might help.

£300! Sound damn good. Well I'm dead stuck between a 172 and a GTI T. I'm still at uni, but hopefully with a summer job I'll be able to afford a new car, insurance and the petrol for it, so now just wondering on maintenance.
Guessing a mk4 parts wouldn't be more than a mk5? Esp as there are...
I'm in Berkshire mate, near Reading. I took my car to a local garage my dad knows and got a service for £70 which I thought was reasonable. But only parts I've ever had changed are for cambelt 2yrs ago which came in at £170, so no real idea of price parts if anything goes wrong.
What are the prices of parts like for a ph1 172?
Won't be buying from a main dealer unless I have to.
Are RS prices a lot more than standard parts or VW parts as a Golf GTI 1.8T is another possibility?
Thanks
As crappy as it might sound, I'd give febreeze a shot. When I lived out at uni, I used to febreeze my clothes after a night out to get rid of the smell of smoke, worked a treat! Yes I was too lazy to wash my clothes all the time lol
BTW, always keep your keys on you. Never know if your "mates"...
If this is for real, its your money to spend as you please. Only issues I have is if you'll be able to control the speed. Don't want to be hearing of you in the news having killed yourself and an innocent family of 5 or 10 people at a bus stop.
And if I were you, I'd be insuring it my own...
This is what happened when it wasn't secured down. Only fitted the day before and hadn't had a chance to get some velcro yet. Buying it before would have helped, athough in mk2s the bar in the boot prob would stop this.
BTW, Velcro obviously wouldn't have worked on the mk1 carpet unless...
Knowsit!
Two big strips of this under the full width of the sub box and it'll hold well. Been in my car for 2 1/2 yrs and it's still strong as anything. It can even be a bit of a struggle getting the sub out sometimes! Do the same with the amp too.
Generally that's true but I did a quote with and without a non-claim accident on policy and it made £50 extra having it on! When I had a go at them about it, they said because of my fault claim (declared on both quotes), that the non-fault accident ment having 2 accidents on my policy meant a...
Depends on how severe the whiplash is. I had whiplash after an accident in July a couple of years ago. As it was going through the solicitors, I didn't see a doctor until September and he diagnosed minor whiplash. I rested mainly for the time in between, couldn't work due to not being able to...
I'd say spend a day or two doing every online quote.
My insurance went up to £2k when I was 18 due to a claim and 3 points and it was only a 1.4 mk1. Since I'm in a B risk area, I suppose your quote of £2600 doesn't seem far off tbh.
Only things I can think of is dont have any excess annual...
