    Air-con removal

For everyones info: The 172 Cup alternator will fit the volvo brackets (our current setup n the race car) and a MK1 Laguna Alternator will also fit volvo brackets but requires a very simple extra wire added to it

Abit worried now about the Gearbox!

Yep thats the breather. Filler is on the front (radiator side) of the box. So now you have overfilled it by 3 litres

Ive got phase 1 stuff but not phase 2. Bound to be different seeing as its all can stuff. Best to start from scratch with everything. Our loom in the race car has the bare minimum. Obviously you will need ALOT more wiring than we have as its got to be road legal but its not that hard. Again...

As I said at TDF the other day, the stock ecu will only be running dash, cooling fan and fuel pump (altho iirc you said it had been by passed for some of those relay functions) The dash is your only problem as its CAN. everything else on the car can be wired up on a fresh loom piece of piss

    Any idea what this is??

Ive removed a few at the roadside. Just unplug all the connections on the boxes and it should stop it all from working

    Any idea what this is??

Alarm unit. Fitted at the docks when the car enters the country to bring it up to UK spec. The microphone things you refer to are probably the interior scaners

Burpspeed Version 2: Race Car Build

Yes. We know what the alternator problem was. And yes 5 is a lot but we had one that did 3 meetings and a test day before the casing broke (it still worked) and the 5 dead ones all lasted a max of a few laps before packing in. It was a supplier issue, were sure of it. (So its 6 dead...

Dont forget that using the springs in the stock location gives a 1 to 2 ratio (approx) so they will be acting like 50newton on a coilover
