New gear box or rebuild ?

Standard price is £275+vat for a full rebuild. Normally does them in a day unless he is really busy it can spill over to a second day. Done dozens ofmembers boxes now with perfect results. gesus69 on here had to pay an extra £50 or £60 coz his main shaft was buggered. When you ring up, ask...

cheapest place for r888 tyres delivered

Why not try something different? R888's are not the only track tyres out there. When they were cheap it was no brainer but now they are the same price as most of the other stuff out there. We run the race car on Dunlops @ £101+vat a corner

Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project [Year 3 - Engine and Chassis Rebuild]

Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project Always going to be the problem with modified track cars im afraid. RAC dont use A frames any more either. The trailers are a bit tricky with ride height, struggle with some standard splitters No he didnt because the policy he has doesnt cover what he needed

Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project [Year 3 - Engine and Chassis Rebuild]

Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project If you all bothered to read your terms and conditions you would see that its all in there. If a car has been modified (lowered) and cannot be towed in the normal way, the cost is down to the member. If the car has been used in an event that does not comply...

    Damp smell from blowers help

Thats it chap. You can gt some other stuff that need spraying into the system. Need to spray it down all the vents and into the pollen filter housing etc but the 'bomb' style ones are the easiest to use. You can see the airflow in the car too as the cloud of spray circulates

    Damp smell from blowers help

Yea thats it. There was a tip given to me on an air con course once that if you turn the blower onto hot for 2mins before the end of your journey it kills the bugs off. It never worked for me tho. Some cars (iirc its BMW) have a strategy where the fan will run automaticly after the car is...

    Damp smell from blowers help

Its the bacteria in the a/c by the sounds of it. You can get a cleaning spray from car shops. Some of the condensation the a/c removes stays in the heaterbox and gets smelly.

What do you have for a spare wheel? (172 owners with aftermarket alloys)

Wont be. They have a bung system that leaves the tyre in a repairable condition (assuming it was in the first place) My whole point, if a car has the room or a spare why not carry one. I had loads of people critisise me when I hd my mega stripped track car and carried a spare.

What do you have for a spare wheel? (172 owners with aftermarket alloys)

They can fix some puncures on a temporary basis. Or take the wheel to nearby tyre centre if open.Tyre call out is also an option, depends on the circumstances. Everyone not running with a spare (that originaly had one, ie, not 182/197) and relying on breakdown cover should check their...
