Amazing cars, Wish id owned one by now. Came close to buying one that needed some tlc but was out bid by a tenner. Will be keeping an eye on this thread and I wish you all the bet with it. Had a poster of a white 1.9 on my wall when was in my early teens. Had a 1.4 205 for my first car but never...
abs has been binned. got a bias valve but still got too much on the rear even on the minimum. ive got some better front pads to go in now so that should help a little
As Tony said the biggest problem was the brakes. Ive been advised by several people now to have the shocks on full stiff on the rear and about 6-8 clicks on the front. Will be trying this on Saturday at Mallory Park if its dry
Makes sense if the hancocks were hard to get. I thought id get pissed off with having a track set of wheels but it worked great on Monday. Its the way forward imo
Cool beans mate. Hope Brands all goes well. Like you say it will give you an idea on what else needs doing to the car and iron out any niggles. Bedford on Monday certainly did that for me
Lol, wasnt by choice, was a customers. she didnt beleive me that it was the tyres causing her to be scared out of her mind inthe snow. She said the steering had failed at first.
I drove a MGZR in the snow, it had YingYangs or some shite on there. The thing was undriveable, no grip at all. Couldnt use the throttle at all, had to drive it on tickover to save spinning the thing into the kerb
T1R's work well for the money, PE2's are very good but very expensive. Goodyears are s**t
Thats my opinion but you will get 100's of different opinions on here. Alot of it is personal preference
Yea if you see the video as we get to the corner by the pit entry there was a small lake forming, that was interesting. But on the whole im very pleased with how the tyres manged the whole day. Wont be using road tyres on track again
Couldnt of put it better myself. I was actually surprised how much grip we had in the wet considering we didnt soften the suspension at all and we were on R888's witch will 'kill you' in the wet if you believe the shite written on here sometimes
