I have an RS2 inlet, de-cat, plus upgraded & amped speakers - I haven't heard any tyre noise in years! ;)

Did your insurance include legal cover? I'm not sure but does that not entitle you to speak to a professional who can offer you guidance & counsel you?

Piece of cake. A lot of people do it and remove plates when they do track days then stick them back on when they're ready to drive home. If you want to remove the pads just tear them off and go back to screws - the plate will cover any mess left behind so it'll never be an issue, but I'd just...
