[Nov 30, 2014] Oxfordshire & South Central Joint Meet (Oxfordshire)

I'll check out more details later (you can't see anything on Tapatalk), however, I'm flying in from a stag do in Portugal that afternoon so I'll either have to get a lift with someone more sober than me, or I'll be asleep (/dead).

    Tim's Trophy - #455

Cheers Jamie. It's great to hear positive comments about the drive, thanks guys, definitely money well spent! And yep, 44 cars is about right, although next job is to remove the hardstanding in the back garden and extend the lawn so the little lady can have even more space to run around...

    New rep for Oxfordshire

Congrats John! I'm not a true Oxon member, but I'm only down the road in Newbury so I'll more than likely pop up for a meet now & then. Be good to put a few more faces to usernames.

    Tim's Trophy - #455

30th October 2014 - 55,100 miles I've been off work this week so between spending some quality time with my gorgeous 2 year old daughter I took the opportunity to give the Trophy a little clean. First up yesterday were the white 2118s, which were in a poor state - I was worried they'd stay...

Can't wait to see this on Turinis ;)

    Very cheap Turinis!

    Stolen? Does seem bizarrely cheap.

Are you able to share how many applications have been received for South Central - West Berkshire/North Hampshire?

    Area Rep Applications

Couldn't agree more, Rhys. From my point of view the two are completely unrelated, they just happened to appear in the same post. I would one day like to be a rep as I <3 CS. I'm interested in rewards because a significant part of my day job is rewarding thousands of people for strong...

    Area Rep Applications

Are you able to share any more info on the 'reward for effort' idea you mentioned earlier in the thread? I'm interested to learn more but appreciate it might be just a notion at this stage, rather than a developed strategy. Personally I'd like to apply but we already have a long-standing area...

Can somebody please clear this up for me!

I'm not attempting to scaremonger, I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard anything similar - as of April (not sure whether that's April this year, or April 2015), running a decat on a car will not only be illegal (no surprise), but also that the mod will be uninsurable by any UK insurer...

    Tim's Trophy - #455

Good point, thanks for the reminder. When I removed the Le Mans stickers from the rear bumper some paint came off so I booked it in at the well-respected Headley Bodyshop in Newbury (@Stryker), and had it repaired and resprayed. Very pleased with the finish and while I was there I got a quote...

    Tim's Trophy - #455

No update on the Trophy but some attention was given to the Beemer as the EML had been illuminated for quite some time, and I've had a DISA kit from Sheffield-based i6 automotive for ages, so that was fitted. The DISA kit (link here) is smart and while I didn't think the old one looked as bad...

    Trophy 151/500

The Trophy will be 10 next year, I don't think any appreciation is likely for at least another 6-8 years.

How do you co-ordinate multi-car insurance

That makes a lot of sense, thanks Scott

How do you co-ordinate multi-car insurance

Here's the situation: The 330i is insured with Direct Line - renewal due on 1st November. The Trophy is insured with Adrian Flux - renewal due on 15th November. I think I've read that you can't insure the same car with two different providers, so what's the best way to take out multi-car...

A Talbot Samba 'Style'. 974cc, 4sp, no headrests, on a C-plate. Had the girls gushing... not.

    Best way to mark tyres?

Multiple sets of wheels and tyres, so there will be no splitting being done. It must be the poor quality of my sticky labels but they always fall off. Thanks to all for the comments and advice.

    Best way to mark tyres?

I can see the adhesive failing and in March I'll have a stack of tyres and a pile of notes next to them. Does this work, in your experience?

    Best way to mark tyres?

I want to swap to my winter wheels but when I switch back next spring, I want to put the wheels on as they are now. What's the best way to mark the tyres so I know which goes on each corner?
