As Gally says, a Trophy is worth more in parts than it is as a whole, that's simple economics. As for protecting them like an endangered species, you'll find they already are. A small percentage of these cars have considerably low mileage and are cherished by their owners with no expense...

The 2014 LM24 fridge has been purchased for the bargain price of £4.20, next up is the barbecue @Gorms , @Cub. - any progress? I wonder if @Daniel or @ Daniel's_Bristolian_mate_Sam might have an oil drum barbecue we could use? If not, maybe Sam could make one - I've seen some of his skills...

Bruntingthorpe must have been a pretty special day. What percentage of the cars were driven there vs trailered? Not many I'd imagine, but then some of these supercar drivers do like to enjoy putting miles on their cars.
