I would chuck a set of plugs in, see how it feels then. When was it last serviced/oil changed? That can make a difference.
PS - Make sure you get the correct NGK plugs and use 5w 40 oil

And you know these come with a tubular mani of sorts as standard?
Even with cams, a remap and breathing mods, you would struggle to see over 200bhp
Dogbone is a 10min swap. Usually ones for sale on here with the bushes already fitted, no no banging about for you to do. Also, the Phs2 is twisted, thats the one you need.
I assume you will be arranging for the cambelt to be done ASAP? Whilst its being done, why not check over the track rods...
