That there is your problem.
2 car lengths? At 30mph?
That is way too close.
Two car lengths is what? 10 metres?
At 30 mph you're covering over 13 metres per second...so you were well under 1 second behind him...no wonder you ended up stuck on the level crossing.
Can you really not see that...
What?
You've completely lost me.
The OP was driving so close to the car in front that he got stuck on a level crossing.
His fault, regardless of what the other car was doing.
The end.
But you did exactly that! How can you not see that?
You win today's full quota of forum r****d points IMO.
And that's before we even get to you punching his window.
As said above, just FLOL.
If you give it back and walk away, having limited yourself to the 6,000 mile a year over 4 years, that's 50p per mile on 'depreciation' alone.
How many miles a year do you do?
Need to be en route by 0900 as picking up a mate in Farnborough at 1000 to get there for 1030.
If you want to tag along...where shall I hook up with you?
41 here, and I regularly do exactly this only with the SatNav set to 'Home' so when I decide to bail/it's time for dinner it guides me straight back again.
Looking at prices of 172 Cups right now...I may well have a good chance of convincing the wife I may as well keep it as well as the 200...
I am bringing the 200 now Jon.
As said, going to have my girls with me so have had to promise to take them to Pizza Express afterwards to make up for having to stand around in the cold hearing loud cars for an hour!
LOL at not having Recaros being ghey, GTFO.
Standard chairs are light years ahead of what the 172/182s came with...and with just plain fabric technically they're better than the leather ones...more friction to hold you in place :rasp:
I do like the leather though :approve:
Yep, stores it as a CSV and you can email it from within the app, email to self, open gmail on laptop, job done.
I think with the full version of the RaceRender software it'll work with the data input file better, plus I haven't really touched the refresh rate of the sampling yet so it is...
Like I said, the speed input file is obviously corrupt, it's reading 10x actual speed, I r SRS.
Filmed with an HD camcorder, data recorded using the android app, brought together with the RaceRender video suite.
Once you've got the hardware you'll just have to have a play around with the...
...I had no idea this 'technology' was available so cheaply!
Bought a bluetooth OBD thingy on eBay, downloaded an android app for the Galaxy S, downloaded a demo version of the RaceRender video suite, played on the road for 20 minutes, played on the laptop for an hour and hey presto.
Loads...
Technically pilot holes with a drill are not needed either.
I just screwed mine on in about 5 minutes a few track days ago and it's been fine ever since.
Better = faster?
Faster = fun?
Doesn't work from my experience. Leave it standard, drive it on its door-handles. Maximum fun.
Spending no money on mods mean you get to do much much more of the fun bit.
Same engine, higher state of tune, 100bhp/litre is never going to be economic.
Bigger car, bigger hole needs to be punched through the air, more mass, requires more fuel to get it moving.
Simple.
I own a non Cup 200, do 52 miles a day on broken country minor b-roads and a few trackdays a year. Plus I have a family, small kids, that sometimes want to sleep in the back.
For me the non-Cup option is absolutely bang on.
Here's a direct comparison, back to back, Cup v non Cup by Evo...
Possibly? It's guaranteed!
Takes a good few mpg off...you can feel it too if you're rolling along in say 3rd gear at walking pace...put the AC on and it feels like you've stabbed the brakes momentarily, until the ECU ups the fuelling to compensate for the extra load on the engine.
Agree about...
