Why would some have them and some not Paul? Surely its gonna be on a build date or something, not just random? Cant remember seeing one on Dan's/My car can u?

Does it have one? The dealer told me that its in the tank as part of the pump. Is that right? Done a search and it looks like some have been sold/advertised on here as for a ph1 and early ph2 so there is a filter available for it. Very confusing. Anyone shed some light?

They fail for fun. Get a spare to keep in the boot and a spanner to change it yourself. Ive never used a diagnostic computer to find fault with them

spring clips? When i was at ford we had a special tool for doing those, was an absolute doddle. Hope u put a jubilee clip on instead

ha ha, did my clutch cable last week (akward) and throttle cable today (not so bad) aux belt on a ff is a bit of a squeeze too
