Faulty pre-cat lambda sensor? Swap them round, see if it changes.

Take the cat off and get it in a vice for a better grip on the lambda plug. Lots of penetrating fluid!!!

I am sure the answer is to run the car with the 2nd lambda in fresh air so the light doesnt come on, put a bag over it, then cable tie it out the way

Or just bung the 2nd lambda hole, and let it breath fresh air before bagging it up out the way?

You can't unselect the VIN option though, so its 180euro for the tuner, then 49euro for the vin thing
