Bumper off to change them and the blanking plates are circa 50 notes each from renault like mike said. Only cheaper way is to catch a 2nd hand set which are rare.
They changed to a bolted diff retainer in the 182 gearbox which alleviates the problem so there isn't a circlip to fail/pop out. My late 172 had a 182 box in it so unless its a very early 182 or the box has been changed before I doubt its that. Something to consider though.

Thats a wrap now methinks. Unless I can find somewhere to keep a track toy then i'll add a Ph1 172 to the list.
I'd doubt it was the clutch, pedal still feel normal? If the clutch was fooked it would either let you select gears without pressing the pedal or it wouldn't let you select them at all as it wouldn't disengage. Release bearing would either make lots of noise/stop the clutch disengaging/fail in...
The two realistic options i'd say are either bite the bullet and get one from renault or try a local power steering/hydraulics specialist they might be able to fabricate a replacement or repair that but I doubt that type of crimped end is saveable once it starts leaking.
One tooth shouldn't be enough to kill valves I don't think as a few people who've taken them to garages that haven't used the locking tools have had them back a few teeth out and the car still ran just with very reduced performance.
On that point you want the locking tools before you take the...
Finding one will be the problem unless your scrappys are far superior to mine, that and its not a 5 min job to get out and you need to get underneath the car to unbolt it from the rack iirc.
Don't think they're mega expensive but the ABS warning light should be on if the sensors don't all talley up revolution wise so I doubt its that. Clocks or wiring fault is where my money is.
Pin 15 on the back of the clocks Orange wire then through the dash/engine loom connector behind the washer bottle where its Pin C8 then onto the ABS pump/computer Pin 17 still orange wire.
I'd guess theres a fault on that somewhere, where is anyones guess. You got a multimeter? You'll need one...
Not a cheap item unfortunately, thats the high pressure feed from the pump to the rack so needs to be right and hence expensive. Part number is 60 00 073 688 and £171 or thereabouts.
Speedo is driven off the ABS speed pulse not the gearbox, has it got an abs warning light on at all? Otherwise will be a wiring fault from the abs pump/computer to the dials I imagine.
Get it helicoiled, its happened to a few people before. I wouldn't try running it on a small ammount of thread myself. Head will have to come off to be done I think.
Gave it a quick rinse yesterday and chucked some stickers on that I wanted to try and snapped some randoms, was clean yesterday but i've been to work since so its had a nice dusting of coal dust :dapprove:.
:D

Thats what I found surprising tbh, has everything I want but I just can't get on with it. No stylus and touch text entry is driving me up the wall, just can't see it working on a night out after one too many ales. That and it just doesn't feel polished, love certain bits of it but I guess i've...
I've tried one, I wasn't blown away. Like a lot of apples products they have a lot of hype and fashion to them, although i'm not slating them at all the ipod is brilliant if you blank out itunes.
Don't really have a problem with the iphone it just doesn't do "it"/enough for me, and windows...
You want two new antiroll bar droplinks, renault or a factors they're a specific part. The old ones can be a pig to get out too as the bolt will be well stuck to the rubber.
