172 and the Cup are both the same, 54mm lower bolt spacing. The wider track on the cup is given by using ET37 Turinis rather than the ET48.5 FF wheels.
Belts on their own aren't very expensive and it'll probably be fine if its a new one, I know your not supposed to retension them. Had to drop mine off my old 1.6 a few weeks after i'd done the aux/cam belt as I managed to pinch the a/c compressor wiring under the alternator :o, put it back on...
You can get your hand down the back of the soundproofing and pull it out easily enough, its only pushed into the skuttle panel from underneath and theres a stud to support it sticking out the bulkhead. Probably have to take the upper inlet off to get access though I can't remember.
Rear arches...
Which engine 65/80/100? If its gearbox oil then I imagine its leaking out of the input shaft seal but i'd expect the clutch to be slipping as well though.
Thats turned my opinion on it now i've seen some proper pics quite like it actually especially the wide rear arches. Bottom hinged accelerator pedals get on my tits though!
All your perfectionism and your getting under the car with a scissor jack :nono:. Invest in some stands and a proper jack before it breaks and ends up on the deck or worse on you.
Anyone know of any? The biggest I can mind only goes up to a 205 which is useless as the megane is wearing 235s so want something I can get it on.
Any ideas? I could make some at work but as i'm bone idle i'd rather just buy some :).
If its for a renewal then just make a price up and they'll beat it in my experience as long as its not silly. For example renewal for my 172 was £1500, said i'd been quoted £1400ish elsewhere and they came back with just under £1300.

Thats where it needs to go, don't send it anywhere else.
The rear arches are known to have been poorly sealed but it'd be wet under the rear bench as well if it were leaking in there. So dunno, investigation is required!
