One of them there TVRs was at the Surrey RR day yesterday. Sounded imense when it pulled up, was rattling everything as it idled away, sounded like pure thunder. Then he ran it up, and it posted a MASSIVE 200 bhp - good ol' Rover V8s. Err...I'll have an S2000 please.

As said above, regardless of what it actually is that they show you on the HD channel...it is infinitely superior to the SD channels. So, £10 per month for 30 channels...that's good value to me.

Out of curiosity, how much road would a 1?2 need from 70 to 140? 2 miles? 3? 4?

Update: New throttle body fitted...70 miles covered today, hasn't dropped into limp mode once. On the old body, the same journey saw it go about 10 times. Fixed for tomorrow :approve:

Which track can a 172/182 hit an indicated 140 on? At Castle Combe, Goodwood, and Bedford (1km straight) I never see more than 120 indicated. Either you're running 300 bhp, or there's a track with a very long straight somewhere?

So long as it's warm I agree. Not driven on R888s but I've tried a few other brands/compounds, and the one thing none of them like is the cold. So long as it's warm, as said above, I'd take them on a damp track over any 'standard' road-going tyre.

It's not the calipers that are sticking...it's the discs and pads rusting and sticking together. Had it on mine since new - apart from having to break the binds between the discs and pads when I pull away, all other aspects of the brakes function 100%. I've covered 106k miles in mine, and...

There's always a little drag on the discs from the pads. If you can turn the disc by hand I'd say that sounds fine.

It is lighter as it doesn't have the heat film on it, and that's not exactly lightweight.

Because to make good progress in a 1.2 you'd really have to drive it, whereas if you want to remain safe you can't really do that on the roads in a 1*2. I'd love a 1.2 with 172 Cup running gear as a daily hack. Hello limiter.
