mini-valver

Photo's look better this time round dude, skills...

I'm not a massive fan of the lights but the rest looks good. Coilovers next?

Has Paul upped the limiter?

Love the 197, be good to get the guy on here.

Good pics, some realy interesting shots there.

Glad to have the lense then Raid?

oh, and what the hell has happened to that clio's bonnet?

That particular Clio is making over 200bhp. 200.4bhp on Pauls DD Rolling Road.

Limiter is at 7650'ish RPM IIRC and its making power right upto that.

Cheers

I like the rear lights on the clio...whats up with the scratches on the bonnet of that blue car.

Yeah i got a lense :)

Yeah its Kevs Car, Has no interior now

We went to krispy kreme and there was like a mini meet so went and said hello and the clio had loads of writing on the bonnet so i thought i best have a go :D

what a car... i do a 'naith test' on pretty much most cars, it either makes em or brakes em. this is top dollar! big kudos has gotta go to RST for its mapping and engine work, also icarus who was involved with the cam setup and tuning too.

the lights work yeh gotta agree, and yet they shouldnt... lol, just for some reason i really like them and im usually a fan of uprated OEM (good call there kevo lad)

we got alot of weight out but still need to pull a little more out come spring, which we will do, not much will touch the 197 now, it is brilliant on cam..

kevs a lucky boy i tell thee, apart from sy's breaks dying AGTWHBA

I thought someone developed ITB's for the 197 engine? Surely they make more than 200 bhp? lol

Probably but there's no details on them yet.

Standard inlet manifold and plenum is good for 230bhp however, Renault will even sell you all the bits to build a 230bhp F4R 830 engine!

It does require going aftermarket management but then so do throttle bodies.

Kev's 200.4bhp car would show 210bhp on most 'ego massaging' dynos so I'm fairly confident its the most powerful road going 197 at the moment. It'll also benefits from maintaining the drive by wire throttle and therefore cruise control, traction control, cold start etc. etc.

It's a hell of a bit of kit.

sounds nice and will be that bit lighter, though a few guys up here have ran over 200bhp with minor mods.

Dastek rolling road by any chance? If you stick this car on the same rolling road it'd make 210 - 215bhp.

There is no way on earth you are going to get over 200bhp out of a 197 on standard cams and pump fuel.

The Oreca built X85 Clio Cups with a much less restrictive induction/filtration setup, low loss exhausts and a very aggresive calibration make 192bhp tops - and thats on an engine dyno.

Dam beat me to it ;)

Should I write a rolling road guide? It'd save some arguing and think it might be useful as there are figures banded about on here that neither me, Renault or Sodemo could get out of the engines concerned LOL
