I'm thinking about colour coding the dash strips to the car (pearl black) is this a worthwhlile mod do you think and has anyone done their's in black before as I think it may make the interior a bit dull.
Post some pics of the car it looks pretty smart from what we can see, I don't know how you can let her sit on the car like that either it'd p**s me right off, I know shes your girlfriend n all that but damn!
This is how it sits now;
Sits firmly in position now as it should but there is now a knocking noise on startup and whenever the engine gets aggresive which I think is part of the chassis at the rear which has about 1mm clearance from the backbox so I'm unsure how to solve this...
No he/she is trying to be special quoting the fact he/she has a 4 cylinder engine but little does he/she release it is an inline 4 cylinder engine rather than a V shape like on a V6/V8 and so on.
I'm sure a copper wouldn't simply let you swap them over I bet he would be more likely to issue a FPN on the spot. Not worth it imo, plates are plates.
I used a false floor setup and then fixed it to that, also hid the amplifier and all the wires underneath it and seperated it into two sections so I can add another amp later.
Got this sucka fitted today;
However not long after picking it up.....wait for it.....the rear exhaust mount failed (shocker).
I had a go at bodging it but it still sits too low for my liking;
As you can see he's not used the standard rubber mount but packed in a new (ish) rubber but...
If I was you I would get a K-Tec Recessed Exhaust and get a local garage to fit it, that's what I'm doing, tomorrow morning to be exact. :D
They quoted me £40-£50 which includes cutting of the rear bumper and colour coding the exhaust surround supplied by K-Tec.
