You can get some infinity kappas off ebay for that money, dead impressed with mine. Definetly worth amping them though.

    boot of goodies!

Which bit? There is a funny section on them that makes them look bent.

    Fuse Blowing Hell!

Swapping the probes round makes it read positive right? Did you get the same readings for both of the fuse terminals? Its shorting to ground somewhere by the sounds of it anyway.

    Fuse Blowing Hell!

ohms and polarity won't matter but one pin in the fuse holder and one on a proper ground ideally. Needs to be unpainted metal or a bolt head etc. Do both sides of the fuse holder.

    top 21mm nut, front strut

You need a cranked 21/22mm spanner (can't remember which) and a 6mm allen key to hold the strut while you undo/tighten the top mount. No impact gun required.

    Dash Lights!

The airbag computer is underneath the can holder in the centre console, to clear the airbag and serv light you need to replace the seat in which the airbag/pretensioner has fired. Then you need to search ebay for "airbag reset" pay your £60 and send the airbag computer away to have the memory...

    Fuse Blowing Hell!

Got a multimeter? Can you test from the fuse terminals to ground and see what resistance you get.

Aux belt change, 4hrs labour charge sound good?

4 hours sounds a bit excessive imo. 2 should be enough, how old is the 182? it might be worth doing to cambelt as well seeing as you need the auxbelt off to do it.

    which prospeed exhaust !?

A 3.5" Slash cut into the bumper seems to be the favourite. Think those pics are just examples of their work, they'll make you anything I think.
  11. B

    what do you get???

35-37 usually round town/nsl roads etc. Best I ever managed was 42 on the motorway.

    Right Stalk, what is it?

Has the screen been changed? If the gel pack hasn't been changed properly them they won't work.

Rear camshaft locking tool and TDC pin

Nope iirc, the cup tensioner is different to the FF one due to the different aux routing due to lack of a/c.

Rear camshaft locking tool and TDC pin

This: http://gallery.getflat.co.uk/v/My_Cars/2003_Renaultsport_Clio_172/Cambelt/DSC00243.JPG.html and this: http://gallery.getflat.co.uk/v/My_Cars/2003_Renaultsport_Clio_172/Cambelt/DSC00245.JPG.html i imagine, you need the auxillary belt tensioner tool as well though on a FF.

    Right Stalk, what is it?

I am I only person who likes the auto wipers? Mine work brilliantly, as did they on my old 1.6. The sensitivity is more for the size of the droplets than the quantity of rain i've found.

    Another Part Number Thread

Use renault parts they don't cost enough to warrent 3rd party stuff imo. 82 00 033 408 OIL FILTER £6.09 77 00 424 098 FILTER CABIN £15.08 Try ringing the stealers next time! ;)

    Elec fault

Your not supposed to retension already used belts. For the sake of what a new one costs I wouldn't risk it.
  18. B

    Elec fault

Yep new aux belt if the alternator needs to come off.

    16" oz racing superturisimos

Proper vintage 1997 ones on my old 1.6
  20. B

    Elec fault

A good start would be a get a multimeter on the battery terminals when the engines running to see if your getting a good charging voltage of 14.4v or near enough. If thats all good then change the battery.

    coil pack and ht leads

The leads are permanently attached to the coilpack on the 1.2 16v.
  22. B

8mm or 8.5mm Magnecor HT Leads

Won't make any difference, do you want red or blue basically.

    1.416v and 1.6 16v direct swap?

Both have the same bore of 79.5mm its just the 1.6 has 10mm longer stroke than the 1.4 to give it the extra 200cc. Now whether than 100% makes the heads combatible though?

    Dirty Big Crack

A set of rear discs will be v.expensive from renault. Will save a fair bit if you get them from gdi and do them yourself.

Who has owned 3 clios or more lol ?

I've had a Mk2 Ph2 1.2 then 1.6 then a Ph2 172. Will be the last Clio I think, getting a bit bored of them now although do know them instead out now though! Need something completely new, either an rs megane or a mazda 3 mps most likely.
  26. B

    this colour of 172?

Sure its not iceberg with a shitty photo? The blue in it does show through a lot in certain pics.
  27. B

    1.416v and 1.6 16v direct swap?

Should be plug and play electrically I think, only difference should be the ECU map.
  28. B

    Wiring diagrams/electrical info need please?

Oh I see, yep pretty much everthing is UCH controlled as thats the idea behind it. Theres no extra bits doing anything. You could pick up an indicator flash easily enough but its just the same as using the indicators its just the UCH just flashes them because you unlocked the car instead of it...
