Well I would start off with a visual inspection have a good look at the brakes and the surrounding area for any visible damage or something that doesn't look right.
172 wheels will look good but get suspension first mate trust me getting it lowered makes it look so much better and then the wheels finish it off nicely. If you do it the other way around the wheels look good but the car still looks like it is on stilts effectively ruining the whole look.

Yeah exactly your engine gets bogged down with city driving and changing gear at 2000rpm doesnt give it chance to breathe, if it were a diesel then yeah but with petrol engines nowadays they are designed to be revved high thats the whole point in having 16 valves but obviously don't do it all...
Well as for ECU being a rare problem I would have to disagree as mine was a 'kin nightmare to live with and I was quoted £300 for a new ECU, a guy I spoke to also said that he has had to replace ECU's on quite a lot of clio's too.

It seems to be starting up now on the first turn since I did the little battery thing and changed the fuse although I doubt it will be a permanant fix but at least I can now sell it!
89,000 Miles on a 2004 model?! Thats a lot of miles.
More pics needed, it looks like its been lowered any chance of a list of mods?
What about cam belt and aux belt?
Any service history? I take it its a Cat C writeoff?
Yeah go for it pal I've blasted mine a few times nothing extensive though just a quick going over and the paint is still holding so I wouldn't really worry about it.
