I found that DS2500s never really bit into the pad like standard, always felt like they needed to heat up.
Do what Fred says then when out again, try and get them to fade. I bet they're dependable.
I'll have one more go then...
On your video, your clutch starts biting at 3 seconds, just as it gets over 4,000 rpm - the revs drop down a little as you fully engage it, then the revs climb again as you accelerate in 1st gear. That's when you start moving, not when the speedo wakes up at...
Look at your speedo and the numbers around the edge. Where the needle is resting before it starts moving - is it at 0mph or 10mph?
You start the clock when the needle starts moving (which it doesn't do until you are doing 10mph), so how can you time a 0-60 run, when you are doing 10mph before...
That does not matter. You are doing 10mph before the speedo needle starts moving, so to start your 'clock' at that point is totally wrong.

It doesn't.
Correct!
Wrong!
The speedo does not start moving until you are doing about 10mph already.

I've done that from new as well.
Also, I get my brake fluid changed pretty much every second service/12,000 miles, but that's the only thing that I find I need to do over a normal maintenance schedule.
Before a trackday I...
brim the tank
check and top up the oil
check and top up everything else
visually look the tyres over for bulges, cuts, nails etc.
adjust tyre pressures
take everything out of the car
That's it. No special preparation, no special extra drops of oil, no extra expense...
I've had two tool boxes, 4 track wheels with tyres, trolley jack, a-full-weekend's-worth-of-shite, and a passenger all in the back with no rubbing.
Does that count?
;)
When it finally sorts itself out (the market) I won't hesitate in buying an HD DVD/Blu-ray player. So long as the increase in quality is there going from DVD to HD it'll be worth it.
Since I've had Sky HD it's taken me a while to grasp and truly appreciate the picture quality of HD. Like SD, a...
