No chance I don't think mate. Post code statistics are a massive factor in premiums and that coupled with the relatively low NCB, age and the stats associated with the car its self = £££ :(
The brentacre quote is good mate. My renewal with them was 900 pounds in a Baghdad post code, however I have 2 more years ncb and 6 points.

I would be on to experian or similar to check why you were refused credit mate. It could be a mistake their end but I'd still want to make sure my credit history was ok.
Suppose it depends on what you want to use the car for.
Bilsteins would get my vote as I wouldn't know where to start pissing about with the adjustment on them and my car is 99% a road car anyway.
If it was a balls out track car i'd be looking at AST's or similar.
