When I gave my 197 some stick on Kumho KU31's they let go... so I don't rate them! Not a bad tyre and for day-to-day driving and once warmed up they're ok but for any enthusiastic driving I'd personally avoid them.
My mate has recently bought a black EK9 with red Recaros, he's added a few import mods like strut braces and induction stuff. I didn't really know what all the fuss was about as I'd been told they were very similar performance-wise as a Clio Sport.
Once I had a go in it all became clear... Want.
Love that ^^
Silly question...
What's the difference between a Datsun 510 and an old Skyline? I know that Datsun and Nissan are tied together but I don't know how you determine between the two. Is the Skyline a sports version of the 510??
I work at a dealership where I've driven many old Renaults that do exactly what you're describing, usually a quick lock/unlock of the remote central locking and the car starts fine.
Just a suggestion as technically I know jack sh*t lol.
In standard form the bodyroll is terrible, and the little skinny wheels offer minimal grip. Having said that, Suzuki knew what they were doing because it drove great. I've never been one to leave cars alone so it was only a matter of time before I started messing! I managed to get the only set...
I had a 197 on KW coilovers and caged, used on track a fair bit. Was an awesome car but too expensive for me to own/maintain, so I banked some money and got this. Really like it tbf, nice having something different :)
Have to agree with Danny on this one, I admire the skills involved but to me it was a total waste of talent. Maybe it's because I don't follow trends or because I hate 'rat' cars, but either way I don't like it. Fair play though, good write-up.
Cheers people! I was amazed the difference stripping it out made, I did the same in the 197 but the difference was hardly noticable... In the Ignis it's like a diffrent car, and with the gas coilovers there's hardly any bodyroll at all so it corners like it's on rails... I'm scared to push it! lol
Yeah it's very, erm.... Stiff lol. I ran over a 20p last night and I could tell it was tails lol.
Would look good mate yeah, but it's going on track so I need it set up properly.
Winter is upon us and I thought I better update...
- I've removed the rear seats, spare wheel and other gubbings to save weight.
- Added some 15" Pro Race 1.2's with some T1-R tyres.
- It's now sitting on SuzukiSport gas coilovers.
