My last pads were DS2500's.
Currently I'm running Pagid Blues.
Cold response? Nothing to choose between them.
For me I've experienced only slight squealing from both, again both the same level.
Fade resistance? Under very hard track use? The DS2500's give up if you ask for just a little...
No name calling from me...just frustration that a clearly explained safe principle is wasted on some...
gary l - you have again spectacularly failed to grasp the point I've been trying to make.
How can you make more space between you and the car behind? You can't. Is that what you think I...
Yep, that was me. I've never seen an Inferno Clio in the area though.
I'll keep an eye out, and we can have a friendly standard owner/tuned enthusiast tussle when our paths cross ;)
You can't say that!
I've chosen to learn how to drive my Clio properly instead of throwing money at the engine to compensate for my own driving inadequacies...but I'm still an enthusiast 110% ;)
You've missed the point I made above completely.
Why will he hit you if he's too close? He's only going to hit you if you have to react to something suddenly, and he himself has therefore got no time to react.
By giving yourself more space you're not going to need to have to react suddenly...
Another option would be to spend the money on trackdays and driver training.
I think that would give you more laptime gains in a standard car, than an extra 50 bhp ever would. Plus, you keep the "skills" for life.
Wouldn't it?
I'm due a crash this winter. The apparent laws of probability that apply only to non-ABS equipped 172 Cups mean there's a ditch somewhere with my name on it.
I'll make sure I carry my digicam around with me so you can all share the joy when the inevitable happens ;)
Stick with the discs you've got, they'll be fine once the pads have bedded in.
I ran DS2500's for about 10K before changing them for some Pagid Blues, and they weren't even half worn when I took them out, so they last very well.
Is it much consolation knowing you are completely in the right, and the other person's in the wrong, when the back of your motor's stuffed in and you've got the time, hassle, and out of pocket expense of getting your car back on the road...all because you wanted to make a point?
If you get a...
Great pics Lee.
Good to see a 997 GT3 RS out, but this one, what a wuss, why did he go with silver wheels and not orange :S

I've just got myself a new laptop through work, and I told my IT guy I wanted something half-decent that was workable.
It seems good enough, and I know it's got a 60gb hard-drive.
How do I find out the rest, processor, ram, all the other things?
Where do I look? I've not got clue...?
I thought that too when I saw the Evo rip the V6 a new one...your 1.2 was faster round a track Fred.
Not heard of confidence braking before? No one or book has ever mentioned it before? I guess a quick light stab just lets you know there's pressure there without impacting acceleration noticably?
