think its to do with the wide rubber, it seems to 'chew' on full lock, not a nice feeling, and its the only car i've experienced with the problem, very noticable in slippy conditions

i had a magnex that the middle box failed too! after only 4 months use, nice resonance @ 4k rpm not good :dapprove:

god what did we all do in the days before abs :rolleyes: really gets me this one, abs only helps you steer the car under heavy braking, as you can't steer if the front wheels are locked, it DOESNT reduce braking distance, and in ice/snow it makes no difference what so ever my favorite lines...

what car mate? cold be just worn track rod ends etc (cheap to fix) but my car needs a steering rack on a 52 plate 172!!! the joys of warranty!

does the filter fix to anything as i've just brought one second hand with no fitting instructions:dapprove: , but there is a wee bracket in the box, but i've not even opened the bonnet to look (doin it tomorrow) any pic or just discription of where the bracket fixes to would be great cheers :)

its true this, i drive lots of vans/cars for work, and i think the gear lever is further away than normal

well i was going for goodyears all round, but i've found out my steering rack is shafted on a 3 yr old car.... just out of warranty, i've got to pay for that to be fitted along with tax, mot, xmas..... shitty renaults should have kept me punto gt, less hassel and quicker!

not if its original, if its had a replacement backbox there wll be a clamp above the rear beam...

cup is margially quicker than a standard 172, has the quickest book time, nothing wrong with the engine had a rolling road session at skip brown cars (pug specialist... run rally cars etc) and they said it was spot on for the mods done to it

nah, i had a mate who had a vts saxo, chipped cammed, 4 branch manifold and mine was standard, twas quick, but not 172 cup pace..... proved many times

sure its not the centre section on the exhaust? if you have the original reno unit, the middle box baffles are prone to collapsing

missed it but i must have seen all the episodes LOL! was wonderin if anyone would get it!
