Thumbs up from me with Yoko A539's.
They may be ****e in the wet but the dry on-limit behaviour more than makes up for it.
Anyway, it's WET, drive slower.
I went down a simpler route...
Wire brush
Coarse sandpaper
Halfords primer
1200 W&D
Halfords topcoat
But I wasn't really worried about the finish, lets face it, they're going sideways into a gravel trap at some point in their lives :D
Forgot...you have to click the "Free" button...then scroll to the bottom and wait for the timer to get the link...doesn't take too long.
Or could anyone offer me a little webspace?
A frustrating p***k in a Cossie ruined TomS's session, he just would not move or lift  , but then I finally managed a clear full lap mid afternoon...I've timed it at around 1:30 :)
Had a better session later on, but my battery was dead as I left the thing running while changing wheels...
You're a bit behind the times Jon... I managed to f*** my wheel like that on the first Breakie run trying to hang on to you and James IIRC....and it still looks like that now.
Pain in the a*** right now though...what with you wanting to sell it
Hi All again...
Glad you all stopped by to say hello :)
I'm not at CC for the rest of this year, but I'm at Goodwood on 11/11 and 18/12 if anyone's up for either of those?
Was a good run against your Coupe Highwayman...I didn't have a real edge over you anywhere other than through...
No problems fella.
I should've lacquered or waxed those wheels first...that dust on the front wheels refused to budge no matter what I threw at it :(
I'm learning all the time :)
Fantastic Nik. Don't think I've come anywhere near to leaning on them properly yet, but the extra speed I could carry at turn-in took some getting used to.
Once the nose was over the whole thing refused to budge, and I was back on the power almost immediately after turning in (porbably...
Finally managed to catch a shot of me with one wheel up...but it was the AO32's that made me do it LOL.
Had a really good day at Castle Combe on Friday, met a couple of forum users for the first time, and big thanks to TomS who helped me in my time of need (see the last picture :( ).
I read all that, and Ive only just realised its you MB, sorry, RB.
Yup, theres a key in there, looks like a normal bolt head, but slips over the top of the bolt bit thats holding your wheel on.
I guess with no spare, its not really essential to carry it in the car all the time.
On the couple of occassions Ive had to put 95ron in mine, it idled really roughly, and was a pain in stop-start traffic...smooth progress was much harder than usual.
But with the Vs smoothness, Id doubt youd notice that.
WTF?!?!
The box that I dug out with the code on it...Ive been looking at it for the last hour getting more and more wound up.
I just opened it up and...
...theres a spare key in it!!!
Woo-f***ing-hoo - those orange wheels are gonna get a right spanking tomorrow now...
Am I just lucky...
I was only joking about 0430 Mike. I only drove about 1 mile when I tested them round the local residential roads, and my Wifes back at about 2130, so Ill go walk the route then :p
Theres no space, and the outside of the locking bolts rotates freely...even if I could get anything over it, it would just turn round.
Mike? If its that easy, can I stop by yours at 0430 tomorrow morning fella ;)
Still no joy. Going to have something to eat then go for a long walk with my...
F***ing pissed right off :@
Stupid question I think, but, are locking wheel nut keys the same for all 172/182s?
Ive been running around like a madman all week getting ready for Castle Combe tomorrow, and I thought Id chuck the new front pads in before my Wife got home. No problem there...
:( If Id seen that Id have gone for something different. Looks good though with the darker blue...not so sure about the other "highlights".
Just changed my pads, checked the pressures on these beauties, and the cars loaded up ready for tomorrow.
Ill get some track action shots up tomorrow...
A big "Ive been in this business far too long" prize for y0z2a!!!
Ive been waiting for someone to notice. I only chucked these on for a couple of pics and they were the first two I grabbed...Ill make sure theyre all facing the right way tomorrow though.
Joel? No f***ing way did I pay £150 a...
