    Brake Options

Hmm OK then, think i will stick to the standard calipers with the HC discs and DS2500 pads.

Intermittent Misfire | Appears fine, suddenly starts misfiring, then snaps out, repeat

Sounds similar to issues i had, turned out to be TDC sensor. If you give the wires to the sensor a little wiggle and the car cuts out then thats the issue.

    Brake Options

As far as im aware the calipers are standard and the pads are some cheap brand. I would be using fast road and little bit of track. I have already spoken to George it's just a case of doing a bit more research on it. If the Brembos make a big difference and fit behind a standard wheel i would...

    Brake Options

Seriously? I find them very impressive on the road, I can't say for track and if the car goes on track it would be using proper track tyres.

    Brake Options

I have just fitted new PS3's all round so the tyres shouldn't be an issue.

    Rojer's 182

10,000 mile update! So i have had the car for almost three months now and done over 10k, in that time i like to think i have saved it somewhat. When i first picked up the car is was clear the previous owner did care for it, however the lack of funds saw some cheap parts and quick fixes. I'm not...

    Centre Cap Badges

Does anyone know where i can get the Renault diamonds for 182 centre caps? If they are no longer available does anyone know if diamonds from another model will fit?

    Brake Options

I know this has probably been covered, but i need some new brakes after managing to set my standard ones on fire the other night and have a few questions after considering my options. 197 Brembos, are they worth it? Braking performance dramatically improved? Will they fit behind a standard (non...

    Gearbox noise.

Hmm well if its brand new probably isnt the problem unless its fitted wrong or something silly. Are you sure its the box making the noise? Far from local, but i know the area well as i spent alot of time there over 5 and a bit years ha, some good country roads to chuck it around lol.

    Exhaust and cat time

It totally depends on what system you have, I have just fitted a PMS system to mine it has the standard cat with the bigger end piece for the CAT and it has the centre silencer too. Very quiet, only a little bit louder than standard. I do alot of miles a day in my car so it had to be quiet and...

Hmm i don't think the 182 does as i think it takes it from the ABS i may be wrong.

    My Black Gold (no)mod thread

Sounds like your having a right old mare with the car ATM, didn't really think the ABS pump failed on these.

    BG 182

If its a speed sensor it could be the VSS in the gearbox or the wiring to it. Do you get any other symptoms or issues?

    Rojer's 182

Cams and mapping next month :) Yer it was a good response from Ktec really, also you weren't lying the PS3's are great :) Yesterday I had the new tyres fitted while i was waiting i decided i will cut the intake pipe instead and save the hassle. It must of looked weird me in a hooded jumper...

    Rojer's 182

The fatty is just a bit too rough and ready for me if you get what i mean. It does the same job and probably has similar performance etc. If i was going to go with anything else i would make my own like @Dr Jekyll
  30. R

    Rojer's 182

You are potentially right, however i can only trust them and send it back and see what happens. Worst case get a full refund go back to standard and forget it all.
