Your evil..... Anyway more exciting updates, I think i may have lost my mind slightly. Tomorrow I will be picking up some low mileage 197 cams :) and my exhaust will be delivered. Very excited, Chris is going to fit my mounts and exhaust on Saturday. I have since emailed Andy about the cams and...

The price basically, also as ED had done the belts for it not long ago thought it would be best to ask them, not that I don't trust Chris. I'm excited to see how he gets on doing the exhaust and mounts and as he is close by i will probably use him for more jobs in the future.

    Sourcing belts kit- 182

I would definitely recommend doing the full kit. The dephaser wears making a noise and might as well change the water pump. Also might aswell do a full aux belt kit because if the aux belt snaps that can take the cambelt with it. The whole job including parts could be anywhere between £500-1k...

No problem, let us know what the outcome is.

    Missfire under load

Best way to do it is plug in a code reader, they are relatively cheap at £25/30 each, but don't replace them before you have checked the plugs first and plugged it in.

Ha ha i have already been through your thread so I have seen the links, what did you cut the silicone with? Just i have heard so many great things about EFI, I haven't really heard much about the remapping at ED, but maybe that's worth a shout.

Yer mine has come back but only at certain times/sides I will clean the bulb holder and the electrical connector to see if that does it once and for all. UPDATE TIMEEEEEE Apologies as I am quite excited, I have been ordering a lot of parts recently and trying to organise everything so this...

Glad it's finally sorted out, just a tip you should use heat shrink instead of electrical tape to cover the bare wires.

Just to keep @OssPoop happy ;) I decided to do a headlight restoration today. I ordered the bits i needed during the week (AG Headlamp Resto Kit, Tape and sealer). The lights looked OK from a distance, but were quite poor on closer inspection. First thing i did was grab the de-greaser and...

Bit of a blow this morning :( I have parts arriving at my work and today i received the new power steering pump so I was all excited. I then had a reply to my PM from Mick at Diamond Motors and he said that he wouldn't be able to fit a pump that he didn't supply as the tolerances are so small on...

I was going to suggest that actually, I have seen a thread recently on it and the guy "tachosoft" had been used before with good reviews plus that's only £20/30

    Scenic gear stick lever

PMS for me then  Will buy the vibration dampers just in case. EDIT: Just realised i have stolen this thread ha, sorry! Back on topic where can you buy the Yanoo from?

    Scenic gear stick lever

Does the PMS rattle a lot like Davyy is saying? I know PMS have those vibration dampers now as extras. Why was the Yanoo your preference?

    Scenic gear stick lever

What would be good if someone has had PMS and the Yanoo kit so they could give us a good comparison. I have heard good things about both really, but that just shows how s**t the change is standard.

What is Beaniesport like? I have heard some good things, i understand they are busy. Haven't had much of a response when i asked about doing some work on my car :(

Yer there is a lot of opinions on this subject like i said, I will give the new standard ones ago with the Powerflex bush and see how I get on. Worst case I can always change to the Ktec ones if required. I would like to go for a ride in a car with some fitted to see what it was like for myself...

    Wet Footwells

When i had wet foot wells in my DCI it was the sunroof, as you don't have one it could be the scuttle drains. It would be best to strip back the plastics and carpet in that area then get a friend with hose to poor water all over the car and see where it comes in from.

    Rojer's 182

Spending money like it's water atm! Another job i fancied doing was changing the engine mounts, i believe they are the original ones and as they have done 130k+ It's probably worth changing them. There is a lot of controversy surrounding engine mounts, with some strong opinions. My dog bone was...

Just take it to Mick if your not confident or another specialist if that's too far. I can't imagine it would cost you more then an hours labor and some solder lol.

Where did you get your pump from? I had a full aux belt kit fitted when the belts were done so the PAS is the last piece it has a newish alternator on it as well.
