If you read the manual for the standard hu then it'll tell you.
It uses the speed pulse to know the speed and change the volume to suit, not cabin noise.
How'd you turn tomtom on its side like that?
The volume issue would make me think that the permanent/ignition lives are the wrong way round so its not getting a permanent live to keep the settings.
Now I understand this but i'm wondering if i'm going to run into complications as there the standard fit clusters, despite them being retrofit. That and this recent VOSA thing does seem to tan them pretty well iirc. Wouldn't mind seeing it again actually to have a read if anyones got a link? BrainR?
Are you seeing the Good bye message when you turn it off? If not then the red/yellow leads need to be swapped.
There the ignition and permanent lives, for some reason not all manufactures use the same colour for them.
Any chance of some pics when you've finished fitting it?, am intersted in...
Hmm, makes me wonder if it is that tbh. Any ideas on what else could be causing it i'm 99.99999% sure its not the struts. Its on a 40mm Apex kit if it makes any difference.
Well this is my point as those clusters are the actual Renault fit HID clusters with the projectors designed to suit. But I assume it'll still fail as there sans washers and leveling.
Did your car pass its MOT with them in?
I'm fully aware of all the legal stuff in relation to these but i'm sure i've read thats someones car passed with them in. My MOT is next week and I don't want to end up paying for two, i'll just put the standard halogens back in and get the MOT done then...
Well its more of a rubbery knock noise when I go over speed bumps or the like. If I go over one of those split bumps with the passenger wheel and the drivers wheel on the flat then the noise comes from the drivers side. I'm all out of ideas as to what it could be other than the ARB bushes.
No...
Well the Clio has standard ISO plugs so i'd imagine so yes.
Don't know if you've already got it but ther installation guide is here: http://www.parrot.biz/documents/en/support/schemasdinstallation/pdf/Pin%20out%20Renault.pdf and it looks pretty much a straighforward plug and play jobbie.
