Right car hit a curb hard enough to bend a wishbone a while back obviously sent the tracking majorly on the piss, had it done no problems drove straight as an arrow.
Put an Apex 40mm kit on it about a month back and no matter how many times I take it back to the tyre place it just doesn't seem...
Surely the 1.6 will shorten the liftspan of the JB1 significantly or the 1.6 wouldn't have a JB3 box in the first place ? Though if you've got it and the 1.6 hasn't got a box why not use it.
And having owned both there is very little difference in the ratios, revs/speed are very close between...
When I first had the car I noticed that when starting it from cold it wouldn't run the cold high idle instead it went to the normal warm idle which although not a major problem is hardly ideal. It would run the cold start mixture as you can smell it.
Back when the stealers weren't being...
Alpine do an adapter that allows you to retain the display/controls and the display still shows things like radio station name and track name etc. Just fitted one this afternoon, is nice to have the screen back. Also the incartec one just shows Alpine on the screen all the time.
No room to get them in, managed it in the end with a screwdriver. Ohh only took me 3 hrs  :dapprove:.
Then I routed it wrong through the gearbox mount so I dropped the box instead of getting the new one off again, totally raped the old one getting it off.
Was worth it though mucho...
Trying, and trying is the word to change my clutch cable except I can't get the old fecker out!
Its being held by two clips where the cable comes through the bulkhead and I can't get them to release the cable.
I must be doing something wrong as it took me about 30mins to do on my old 1.2...
Re: f**k Me - If you do it, do it properly
Wow, someone did a good job of that one not much left there. Cabin held up well as said, guess its not ncap 4 star rated for nothing.
I usually go for weeks without seeing any, then see a load in the space of a few days. Going for a run down the Cambridge tomorrow so i'm sure i'll see a few along the way.
Powdercoated Oz SuperTurismos, i've got two sets now after I (slighty) bent that one. Its not actually that bad i'm still using them now and you don't notice anything is wrong until 90+. Going to go silver for a bit now I think.
No idea how you get to the one in the momo wheel, but it shouldn't be too hard to remove as they only bolt on. They shouldn't really fail but they can they just break down internally and if the resistance changes past so far it isn't the right value so the airbag computer flags an error...
Haven't got any overall pics after I stacked it into a curb but the wheel looked like this and the wishbone didn't look much better luckily subframe survived unharmed.
Oh and that ^ wheel isn't round anymore either.
Simota Carbon thingy. Its alot of IK for £90 imo, just can't find them on ebay anymore and the only other place i've found wants £150 which I might as well buy a viper for.
