There supposed to be a rather firm ride and the springs on their own aren't that good as the damping rates will be all on the piss for the springs with the standard dampers iirc. I've got a full 40mm kit to fit so i'll be finding out about the ride.

I think you can just about get the strut tops on without compressing the spring ? Not ideal really but it should work.

Can do them on your own unless your a girl :rasp: :D. But basically all that ^ may need some allen keys too but I can't remember.

Sticking throttle cable ? Doubt the ISCV is capable of letting enough air in to hit 5.5krpm.

I use halfrauds 5w40, sound better than on 10w40 magnatec. Less tappety on idle. Have tried a few and have settled on this. Reminds me mine needs doing this weekend.

Bit of heat + wd-40 usually helps these things. Obviously not at the same time as wd does burn.

Yes but the haynes manual doesn't tell you how the cd player works or how to use the climate control though does it. Also the Haynes manual doesn't cover the 172. Ebay would be the best bet, usually a few on there or some will crop up if there isn't any now.

Thats what I can't get, my postcode is a GRP4 I think and its the nicest part of town ffs! (actually is too) Where I used to live was way rougher and thats GRP3. Who comes up with these feckin ideas ?
