So true, ebay brings them out in force too. Have sold many a thing for as much as/more than I payed for it in the first place. Have sold loads of things at more than retail value too, never fails to amaze me.
How the hell do you get a quote like that, i'd be 19 with 2yr ncb and I still can't get it below £2.5k. £2k is the cutoff point for what i'd pay to drive a 172. £1400 and i'd snap their arm off.
No another Clios module won't work as there programmed to the car. The only option is to get the crash codes erased, i've sent mine to germany and am expecting it back any day now.
Its the only option really as the reno route is £££...
Took me ages to find a 1.6 near enough to me, weren't that many on autotrader for the whole country when I was looking for mine.
Might be worth chucking a new(er) box in it unless you want shot of it instead of repairing it.
I'm 6' 1" and i've got it set around the middle. Don't like being sat on the floor (even though its nowhere near it!).
Most annoying thing is a tossup between the sunroof rattle and the auto lights flashing buisness.
I'd say there quite a difference between the so called sports suspension and the normal stuff on the 1.2 16v. My dynamique was a damn sight less firmer than the 1.6 is, and the 1.2 expression I had as a courtesy car was rather boatlike in comparison. Still shouldn't be a touch on the Apex kit...
Just looking through the photo gallery on the rs website and the S1600 cars use wierd single optic lights by the look of it, never noticed that before.

Airbox won't help, will just suck hot air in from the engine bay rather than drawing the cooler air from behind the headlight. And drilled airbox lol :D.
Well I am so I wondered :rasp:. Obviously not as high as I thought, just with the stuff that demon tweeks sell being 135amp thought that around 0 gauge size was the norm.
Not too difficult to do i'd have thought. You'd need a battery container, some 0 gauge cable to extend the positive connection to the boot and a new earth in the boot.
Shouldn't cost too much or take too long to diy...
Wouldn't have thought so but you never know, need to check the drivers side to see how that side is to make a comparison. They do look worn though when you pull them out the carrier.
Need to check the drivers side to see if its just a problem on the one side because i'd expect both to be shot...
Yeh considered that option as it'd be cheaper than the bloody kit x2 if they're any good. Though I may just leave them until they need to be done as they aren't posing a problem atm, no vibration and still brakes straight. Hmm ho hum.
