Its actually still under warrenty, but it doesn't vibrate under braking so I don't think they'll do anything as they'll probably get arsy that i've been taking it to bits.
Am tempted to just leave them as they're not causing any vibrations or braking problems but it'll annoy me that I know...
Well to put it bluntly there as slack as a 50 year old prostitute, must be at least 2/3mm of play in them one is worse than the other. Pretty appaling for a 3 1/2 yr old car.
Wouldn't have thought there was much that could be done with them?
Haven't had much look finding oem ones but I haven't...
Am trying to order a brake guide pin set for my car and have stumbled across a problem. Using the version of dialogys i've got i've pulled up the part no 77 01 207 961 for the kit, rang the stealers and they're priced at £17 but apparently there for a twingo???. They've given me another part no...
Sounds like they'll do me fine. Just got to get hold of them now.
Only seem to be able to find them on K-Tec and they want £270, where did you get yours from/how much if you don't mind me asking ?
I swear they weren't there before, looks good for sure. How did you find them in use ? Any problems ? Did you find them too harsh a ride ?
Got me wondering if 40mm is enough now as that looks spot on.
Although the coilover option is tempting I just don't think they'd see the use to warrant the cost, only want it for looks and so it clings to the black stuff better than it does now when I fancy chucking it round a roundabout.
The firmness could be interesting tbh because I think its pretty...
Not really that bothered with going the full hog with coilovers as they are still substaintially more expensive than the kit option.
Really that bad? Want a nice performance upgrade as much as looks.
Anyone have any experience of putting an Apex kit on a non rs ? Would rather opt for...
My birthday is coming up and the rents keep asking me what I want so might as well sort the suspension front out. Just unsure of whether to go for a kit or just springs.
Only want to go circa 40mm or so and i've narrowed it down to either some eibach sportlines or an Apex 40mm kit.
Which...
Well the offset system is backwards, ET35 sticks out more than ET37 so spacers would just lower the offset even more.
They should be ok afiak but i'm not 100% with alloys.
For the Mk2 they need to be ET37, 100PCD and need to have a centre bore size of at least 60.1mm. I think ET35 should be ok but they'll stick out slighty more, not 100% though.
At the end of the day its your car and you can do what you want with it. I most likely wouldn't keep it standard either, a cars to be used not kept in a plastic bubble.
I've got white led sidelights, not strictly legal but they look ace with the xenons as they actually are totally white. Have had them in for a while now and haven't had any trouble with them as regards to the law.
Bloody wierd that, oh well chuck the H1s on ebay I guess. What I do find strange is that the fogs are H7s too, and that the original halogens are H1 why change with the xenons ???
Hmm, looking at the original halogen lights they do have H1 main beam bulbs. Why are they H7 in the xenons ?
Is everyone elses like this ?
Thought the fogs used H1 bulbs too ?
Ordered some Osram silverstar H1 bulbs from powerbulbs to upgrade the main beam in the clio, but on recieving them i've since found out i've got H7 main beam bulbs (so are the fogs) ??? I was under the impression they were H1 bulbs.
Powerbulbs website says there H1 too which I why I ordered...
I had a problem with the throttle body where it wouldn't run a high idle when it was cold but it was running the cold mixture. They replaced the throttle body under warrenty and its been fine for about 5 months and its now starting to do it again.
I'm going to wip mine off this afternoon and...
