Modern engines are fine. Just keep your distance with the jet washer and cover up any electrical bits with carrier bags.
You will get replys saying that its not safe but its down to personal preferance. If your careful with it then it does no harm. I have always used the jet wash on my bay.
They have very cleaver ways of proving that your mum doesn't drive the car on a daily basis.
For example if they were to suspect you were 'fronting' they would ask your work colleges who they see driving the car, your neighbors etc etc.
They will also grill your mum about the car. EG ask her...
Very sad news that, I would be really gutted too. Look on the bright side though mate.
Its 1 year of your life you have to save loads of money - then possibly and up in a better car. Onwards and upwards as they say!

I would say any lower than 40mm - get...
Way too much to be messing around with mate.
Could be the UCH/the keys transponder. Neither are cheap as a new key costs about £150 for your model.
I would just put up with it personally or use a spare key if you have one?
Spot on. Miles ahead of the standard setup. I was also thinking you pay for what you get but these are spot on. Ride is not too soft, not too hard - Perfect for a road car. Also go low as fook on the front. Only negs IMO is max camber is about -2deg and obviously you can't adjust dampening (but...
