I see what you're saying but at the same time it would cost a firtune to someone having it done.
I'd say theres probably £20 in materials used, so that would be £50 to cover time, which is ok for 5/6 hours.
It just keeps me busy, i get bored very easily so fills the time and gives me some...
I must admit I was like that at first, wondering why people charged so much, but once you start you realise how time consuming it is.
I enjoy it though to be honest, gets me out of the house earning a bit of cash!
^ well i'm only starting off so need to start cheap!
Cheers, doesnt really show how much better it is really, there were a few scuffs on the bumper that looked shite, then they are completely gone after PC'ing them, so made a huge difference!
I'll remember to do some before and after pics of...
Erm, not as bad as the pics show to be honest but most silver clios i've seen seem to have a bit of a mismatch on the wings.
Well price mainly, and no he didnt buy it as a 182, it was advertised as a 172, plus the fact it's an 03 so couldnt be a 182 anyways!
Yeah there will be plenty up don't worry!
Can't wait to drop it 100mm on some coilies, just need to wait a few months to build the funds up again after buying it!
Haha, the title is right!
Its got:
Cup spolier
182 wheels
182 rear bumper and replica exhaust
matched inlets and polished engine
k&n typhoon induction kit
lowered on springs but i don;t know which ones.
think that's all!
Well the clio is going in about 90 minutes, so I took a few pics whilst having a break from my mates car!
PC'd it a few weeks ago and it still looks really nice I think, happy with the results!
Well for him mates rates, but doing a similar job, i.e going over the whole car twice and waxing by hand I'd charge around £70. Depending on how bad the paint is in etc.
Cheers, took me about 5-6 hours, but i did give my car a quick wash in between and didnt rush it.
Thanks, I think it has...
Well been meaning to do it for a bit and finally got round to it!
Used my Sonus stuff, ranging between the 3 pads and polishes to give it a good finish. Then finished off with megs carnuba wax by hand.
Managed to get rid of a huge amount of marks and scratches, but like a tit i never did any...
just keep trying mate!
In just PC'd my mates silver 172, same colour as yours, check the media bit in about 20 mins to see the results, might change your mind!!
I always buy my fuel from the same place, always wondered about something like this and mixing fuel etc, doesnt the ECU learn how best to run on fuel anyway, so the same fuel will mean it knows how to run spot on or something?!
Just to note it's also the cheapest fuel in the area, so works out...
lol at how many people are commenting on spacers....
have you thought about spacing the wheels out a bit mate?!
fancy giving away how much it cost you, was always interested in stuff like that but couldnt justify even thinking about a price!!
None mate, looks like you fell for the 'sports suspension' crap like i did haha!
The diesels and 1.4's and 1.6's have uprated suspension due to a heavier engine.
Noble motorsport RR'd my mates car, 172 with a filter and exhaust, came back to him with a figure of 190bhp at the fly....im thinking they over read quite a bit...
On a 200mph trip up the M6 my clio does about 56mpg, thats just a constant speed going upto 80 every now and again to overtake and then back to 70 again to cruise.
Mine seems really good on fuel compared to others but i don't drive like an idiot!
