No doubt the Clio/meg are more fun. But to say the golf is a boring drive? It's not, you can't argue! Magazines are by no means definitive. But there was universal praise for the golf gti, and for the r26.
Why? Because they are both awesome. Standard gti is a great drive, has an awesome driving...
I'd work it out properly, might even be more than the trip says! Mine hasn't budged from 28mpg, worked it out manually several times and I'm getting 33mpg average!
Sorry, but your flat out wrong. The golf gti is a belter of a car. The only meg that is better to drive is the r26, the golf is a better car, and a better hot hatch than all the other megs.
As an overall car the golf (especially in ed30 guise) is just a better car than all the megs, fact.
Re: Trophy #433
197 wheel would be decent. No smaller, but higher quality and dished so it's closer iirc. Get to keep your airbag and cruise buttons etc.
No doubt the Williams is probably the better drivers car. But it is an older car, so interior etc feels like a different era. Both could potentially be a money pit, but I always feel safer with the newer option in that respect.
Of all the 1*2's I owned, the ph1 was my favourite all things...
