The Europa was a decent car. Shame about it's noise though! Was setting off the noise meter at Bedford with the standard exhaust. Wasn't loud, but pops/bangs on the downshift.
In all honesty, I'd ask why you want them. Imho, track days aren't about going as fast as possible, it's about having a ball on track. I didn't find r888's any more 'fun' than the rs2 tyre, still track oriented (so they didn't go off in the way a road tyre can on track) but less grippy (ie more...
Problem being, with the Elise/exige range they haven't sold enough. The purist approach is admirable, but there aren't enough people out there willing to spend the cash on it. Hence tvr no longer being with us, and lotus taking a different approach.

Sorry fella, I didn't mean they'd cost £500 to rebuild, just that if he sells the ast's and buys ktec, he'd probably be about £500 better off than having the ast's rebuilt.
Exactly! Having them built to his spec won't exactly be cheap, he'd probably pocket £4-500 from a swap for ktec's. And if he's not going on track, is there any point in pricey suspension?

I'll try and dig up an old article I found. Tested on an z3m coupe, Honda ctr. Stuck a borescope in the engines. Were noticeably cleaner (the valves and piston's iirc) with the super brands.
The 200 idles and runs better on vpower, noticeable flat spots on 95. Even if there was no difference in how it runs, I'd still use it for the cleaning properties.
