That's what i'm hoping . Mines booked in on Friday . Initially i got a quote over the phone a couple of weeks ago , but i rang up the other day and asked if they could email me a copy of the quote . So now i have a hard copy so to speak of what they're gonna do . And the price quoted is £613 for...
The best tyres should always be on the back . If you had to brake hard , especially in the wet and your rear tyres had little tread then the back end of the car will want to overtake the front of the car as the front tyres will grip and rears will want to slide due to lack of grip . I know from...
Not this old Chestnut:S. What Wolf says is correct . The only difference in a UK car and the so called Imports are they didn't have an alarm fitted , big deal ,i had a much better Toad alarm fitted with a lifetime warranty, the cobra alarms only had an 18 month warranty and often went wrong or...
Well according to AE these are exclusive images , so time will tell eh . Quote "
So far, the only models we’ve seen from the Dutch styling chief have been concepts – such as the striking DeZir, R-Space and Captur show cars. As you can see from our exclusive illustrations, the Clio is a...
I don't know if this has been posted before or is even in the right section . Please feel free to move if it isn't
I'm not liking the new shaped Clio , due to be launched next year . Personally i think it's fcukin ugly and the colour doesn't help either . I thought Renault were moving in the...
+1 Self tappers are good in something solid . Why run the risk of cracking something as flimsy as a Clio bumper which is only a couple of mm thick . Pilot hole first then Self tappers ( size #10 ) ftw :rasp:
I had this on my 172 , now having it on my 182 intermittenly , mainly after being left out on a cold night and not being run for a day or so . Once it warms up it goes away . But it judders if i put my foot down up to about 3k revs . It was the spark plugs on my 172 so i'm assuming the same on...
If you do a search you'll find more info about it , quite a few people have put a 182 exhaust manifold on their 172 . They probably had some sort of custom decat or exhaust made . A 182 exhaust won't fit because your 172 has a well for the spare wheel so it's in the way .
What's a lambda spacer when it's a home ? I've never heard of one before , what does it actually do ? Just put the Lambda sensor in the decat , if the light comes on then it can be reset with an OBD2 code scanner . Even if you leave the light on there is no detriment to the cars performance ...
Pmsl . I seems like the left hand doesn't know what the right hands doing :S I was quoted £66.83 for the water pump and coolant , thats fitted . Get back on to them , your paying 35 quid too much
Just rang up and booked it in for the 2nd March . Spoke to the same girl on the desk as yesterday and she confirmed its the Cam belt and Aux belt ( both full kits ) , water pump and coolant , spark plugs and Renaults interim service , diagnostic check , vehicle check etc and courtesy car for...
Where does it say that ? The woman i spoke to on the service desk asked me for my car details . I told her it was a 2 litre Clio Sport " 182 " . I was quoted £399 for cam belt and aux belt with the kit . She made a tentative booking for me so i'm going to ring back today and get her to confirm...
The woman i spoke to on the service desk said " good news ( for me ) , we just received a notice yesterday from Renault that all the prices had been fixed " as per their website . She said normally it would have cost over £1000 for all this instead of £613  Maybe some of the dealerships are...
I know that . But Renaults given them a price guide they should be sticking too so prices should be the same whether it be in Bristol or Blackburn . The woman i spoke to on the service desk actually told me that , that it's a national thing .
Well Renault Blackburn quoted me £465.83 for cam / aux belt and water pump with coolant fitted . How come these prices differ when they're all supposed to be same across the UK ? Very strange :S
I was considering maybe Birchdown but they're a good 2 hour drive away , Blackburn Renaults about 10 mins . Do i really want to get up at silly o'clock to beat the traffic on the M6 and then back again ? Looks like Blackburn Renault it's gonna be for me then .
Just rang Renault Blackburn for 5 year/ 72 mile service although mine has only done 33k miles . The full price they quoted me is £613.00 parts and labour incl VAT . Thats cam and aux belt full kit £399.00 , water pump and coolant £67.00 , spark plugs £49.00 and what they call their interim...
I'm with Davedred . Uniroyal Rainsport 2's 75 quid a corner fitted . I'm more than happy with them on my 182 , fantastic amounts of grip in the wet as well as dry . Wouldn't have anything else now .
Had you just set off and the car was still cold , been left standing for a while ? It's usually your battery is on it's way out if it is . Mine does it but only in winter on a really cold day if i haven't driven it for a few hours . If i leave it to warm up for a few mins it doesn't . My...
Uniroyal Rainsport 2's , thats what i'm running at the moment on my 182 . Recommended by a few on here and only £75 a corner fitted . s**t hot in the wet mate , and thats where it counts really in a wet climate like we live in ,most tyres will grip well in the dry even the cheaper ones .
